Lots going on this past weekend....

So much so that I'll have to do it in 2 blog installments. So today is all about Saturday and the parade in Port Orchard.

The parade is called Fathoms of Fun, and our church has a slot in the parade. We were 89 out of about 110 groups that ran thru the parade, and I think we were the only church. But before the parade, there were several booths set up kind of like a home and garden fair, there was Home Depot and other businesses. And our church had a booth, too, to talk to people about our church and about God. Before we get into that, here's some pictures of us all by the water, it was a gorgeous day...
Kent and Kyle...
Jeromy and Jade and a couple of other people worked the booth from 1:30-5:00. Here's Jeromy in action doing the "Good Person" test to people who wanted to participate... can you make out the sign on top? "Are you ready for eternity?"
All us girls had braids for the event...We got snacks for the kids, Kyle got funnel cake, I've never seen that before, it tasted good, thanks for sharing Kyle...Kent has always liked Icees...
Aurora's bubble gum flavored Icee...More evangelizing by Jeromy, he's a natural...
Look who I ran into, my half brother Jacob...Then it was time to go get ready the parade. We started heading to the parade starting point. We found our spot #89 slot, we had our trailer decorated for the 4th of July, and everyone who came got a shirt, one of the shirts Jeromy made!!!
Jeromy loaded up on some more sun block, but it was too late, he already had a bad sunburn on his forehead...
Here's the family, getting ready to walk in the parade, there were alot of little kids, so alot of people got bunny ears in their pictures!
Here's some pretty cool moms: Katie, Miranda, Moe, Laura & Michelle...
Here's Jeromy helping fill up their baskets with tracts (little messages about the gospel) and candy to pass out while we walk thru the parade, I thought it looked cool with the backs of their shirts....
Here's us waiting in line with all the other parade people...
Me and my super cool kids: Jade and Kent...
Super cute Jeromy....
Looks like Jeromy caught himself a Max....
While we were waiting, this lady walked by with her horse and let the kids pet it...
And we finally started walking...
Here's a couple of dad's (Jason and Jeremy2) strolling both their Hannahs-- we actually have 3 Hannah's in the church... Hannah1, Hannah2 & Hannah3??
Look at the back of all those cool shirts, this was only about a quarter of the people pictured here that we had from our church walking in the parade...
While walking we spotted Misty's family, Hey guys!!! See Kelsey sitting on Dennis' lap? I think this was Kelsey's first parade!!I took this picture one second too late, Hannah had her little pointy finger out pointing at stuff, I think this was her first parade, too! Here's the Smith/Norris family after the parade... good looking bunch of awesome family! After the parade, we were taking some of the girls over for sleep over to get ready for Aurora's 10th birthday party on Sunday. Laura was great in keeping Kent over night again, so we were just having girls tonight. When we left everyone was hungry, so we went to the bowling alley at 9pm. Here's poor Jeromy and his sunburn, it may be hard to make out but he got cooked good....You want to see what kind of fun we were in for tonight? Here's one of the girls spending the night....Here's another one....The restaurant was empty except for one other family that had 4 kids in their group, cause we were LOUD! The kids had alot of fun with their food.... can you tell??So that ended our awesome Saturday, which leads into Sunday, but this is a long blog already and there are just as many pictures tomorrow for Aurora's birthday. But you'll have to tune in tomorrow for those fantabulous pictures!

YAAAYYYY, the sun is back!
