I... cannot.... believe.... it's.... JUNE!!!

Today was a pretty great Monday, considering I didn't have to go to work.

Kent had his National Honor's Society award ceremony tonight. So we celebrated first by having Chinese take out... YUMMMM...
Something about Chinese take out is so fun, with the little boxes of yummy food...

Then we headed to the awards meeting.... we got front row seats for all 4 of us! Here's Kent and I waiting to hear his name being called...Here's Kent getting his award, and shaking the principle and vice-principles hands...Then they went thru all the volunteering services all the kids did. They had to have a minimum of 8 hours for the school year to be a member that received credit. Kent had a total of 14.5 hours. He spent some time participating in the arthritis awareness walk, making dog biscuits for the humane society, helped de-germ the school when the swine flu first broke out, spent 5 hours volunteering at the severe weather shelter during Christmas, and some other stuff.

He's a pretty amazing kid I must say! After the ceremony they had several kinds of Costco cakes and punch...

We were kinda first in line for that, too, some how I always seem to be at the front of the line when there's food involved. There were alot of people there tonight, kinda makes you feel optimistic about the future seeing so many kids who care about their futures and volunteering their time in the community! Here's Kent and his certificate. One more step closer to college scholarships with that award!

Hope you're all enjoying this weather--- and you're wearing your SPF 70+ mom! Love Ya!!

Congratulations Kent - we're so proud of you! That Chinese take-out looks pretty good. I wonder where you got your love of food?
