#1 Kent's "for real" birthday is today!!

#3 Jeromy's foster sister's son, Zach, has his graduation party today!!!

First, 15 years in review... here's Kent at 50 hours old, you should have figured I was a picture fanatic when I brought my baby- only 50 hours old- to his first Sears portrait session hahaha!

Here's Kent at 7 weeks old, he's saying "mom, just wait! In 15 years I'm going to win the coached award!!" Look at his cute little face!!Here's my handsome boy at age 4...Here's Kent at age 10, like the picture says. I have an 8x10 picture of Jade at age 10- also in black and white next to this one... we'll need to get one of Aurora when she turns 10 in black and white...And here's Kenton today at age 15!!! So handsome!! Then we had the highly anticipated, Sound to Narrows run today!!! We got there at 8:20 this morning cause I thought we started at about 9, well, as soon as we got there, they were getting ready to start the 5K -- at 8:30 sharp! We got in line and got their numbers pinned to their shirts and they got to the starting line. They literally had a minute till the horn blew and they started their run! But we made it!The kids have done a few races already but this is their first 5K- 3 miles! I was so proud of them! We were in such a rush tho that I wasn't able to get a picture of all of us in one shot. Jeromy's parents came out and helped us find our way to the location- thanks guys!! And Jeromy's dad signed up to do the 5K walk, his first one !! Here's Chuck and I....

Joanne and Chuch, thanks again you 2 for getting us there!!

Then we found my running partner, and co-worker Regie!! Regie and I were running the 12K, that is 7.45 miles, yup, you read that right...

12K= 7.45 MILES!!!

I was able to keep up with him just past the 4 mile marker, but then I lost him, I just couldn't keep up, but that's ok, and jogged the whole thing straight and that's always my main goal!

As I was about to cross the finish line, Joanne snapped this picture of me!! (that guy behind me is coming up fast!)Never did get a group shot of all 5 of us, I never found Regie after the race, but here's the kids and I, Jade already took her number off, she was DONE!

Kent 3 miles= 30 minutes 56 seconds.

Jade 3 miles= 39 minutes 27 seconds.

Katie 7.45 miles= 1 hour 27 minutes 10 seconds.

(I kinda slowed down towards the end, but I beat my time from 2 years ago!)

Poor Jade, got a couple blisters...

Here's Chuck, Jade, Kenton and myself. We are doing the Whaling Days run next, it's the last weekend in July, Chuck said he's up for it, Joanne said she may be able, too, everyone else out there come join our family run!! There is the 4 mile, and one mile, something for everyone! Mom?? You wanna come? Misty and the kids??? Jeromy? Laura??

Here's the kids and I again holding our numbers...Here we all are in our cool Sound to Narrows T-shirts!! Next, we had Zach's graduation party. Jeromy's foster sister Patsy's son was the 2009 graduate. Someone made this cup cake 2009 cake.

One of the pieces of confetti was a graduation cap, Jade stuck the little thing on top of her head, she'll be wearing the real thing next year- graduating class of 2010!! Remember that was a movie? I think it was 2010 a space odyssey or something.Here's Zach...Patsy had a HUGE spread of food, and everything was great!Some of the little kids playing in the pool...

Zach loves strawberries, so Patsy asked everyone to bring some kind of strawberry dessert, we made amazingly delicious strawberries dipped in chocolate, can you believe I didn't get a picture of them??? I can't, they were eaten fast! Look at all those yummy strawberry desserts!

So those are the 3 exciting things about today. We did already celebrate Kent's birthday, but being his for real birthday today, I had do a little something for him. He wanted to go to Barnes N Noble and get a vanilla frap... that's my boy! Here are the 4 of us, exhausted but happy...
