Movie review...

We went and saw "Land of the Lost" with Will Farrel.

We were hugely disappointed. I've always liked Will Farrel, but this movie was retarded... more than retarded.

We thought the movie would be some what safe cause it was PG or PG-13. So no major violence or sex stuff.

Jeromy and I are strong Christians, and we want to continue learning about Jesus. And maybe we are more sensitive to things we see and hear now. And I am totally ok with that. So we knew the movie would probably take God's name in vain... and it did, several several times. It did with in the first 5 lines into the movie.

But you know what made us get up out of our seats and walk out of the movie while it was still playing??? You may think this is extreme for walking out, but we don't.

At one point Will's character and the other characters are stoned/drunk and Will says the equivalent of (don't remember the exact words but you get the gist)

"I love you so much, I love you more than Jesus loved humankind when He hung on the Cross"

Jeromy and I just looked at each other and he said "let's go". So we left. I felt so ashamed for sitting thru that, and wasting $19.

What's truly sad is alot of people don't know Jesus, or understand what he did for all of us, but then some people know exactly what he did and they throw it in your face like it's the joke of all time.

I rarely watch TV any more, and you know what 's weird, on the rare occasion I do, I am SHOCKED by what the regular tv shows are getting away with now. But if you watch it all the time, you don't notice the small changed.

But go for a long period of time with out tv and then watch a show... it's disgusting.

I usually don't go on about this sort of stuff, but that movie was such a disappointment. I'm so glad the kids weren't with us to see and hear all the innuendo's and stuff. But we definitely told them why we walked out. These kids are so great. Jade was surprised they did that.

Too bad there's so much more ugliness out there.
I wish people would turn off their tv's and crack open their Bibles and really be filled up.

Katie, you are right, that was so bad there aren't words to describe. This world is blind to Christ and it's incredibly sad. We need to keep praying until He comes!!!

Love you guys!
