... from yesterday.

Well, Kent had is Track Banquet yesterday after school, and it was early enough so that I could go!

They had hot dogs, chips, pop and 2 Costco cakes for the kids' celebration. Kent enjoying some grub...

There was a cake for the girls track team, and this is the cake for the boys track team...The mass of kids waiting to hear their name being called to get their participation certificate...Jeromy sitting across from me being cute so I snapped his picture...OK, here's where things get really good!!!!

We were getting ready to leave cause they were starting the varsity awards, but I had to get ready for work so we were trying to sneak out quietly. Well one of the couches saw me and said "don't leave yet cause we have a special award for Kent and he doesn't know it".

I was so excited I sat back down. Even Kent was saying "why aren't we going now?" and I said lets just wait a few more minutes.

So the couches quieted down the crowd. There some other awards given out as well, then they said that the next award was going to a 9th grader who has had a great attitude, was always positive, who stayed late after every practice to help pick up trash. And some of the kids shouted out Kent's name. Then the couches announced their pick for the Coaches Award!!! Out of 200+ kids!!!!

MY SON, KENTON!!!!!

He was so surprised!! The whole crowd was cheering his name and yelling. It was great to see him being acknowledged for having a great attitude!! He got another certificate and a Trophy!!!

When I asked him how he felt about it, he said he was "quite pleased", his exact words!!
