Running errands

Well, all 4 of us went out to run errands today.

This is how Kent felt about that...

Well, we gotta do what we gotta do... but our first stop was for Kent. We finally made it to the Humane Society to check out what kind of volunteer work Kent could do... well there's alot he could do, but since he's between the ages of 10-15 I have to be with him at all times and I am allergic to animals and I hate to say it but don't really like 'em either... except for our awesome turtle Dynamite.

Anyway, we may have to look into other avenues for community service for Kent. He's in the National Honors Society at school, and they want you to do at least 8 hours of community service a year- great idea!!

Then we went to the Bowling Alley for lunch, the food is pretty good, and it used to be cheap, but not anymore.

Then we went to Linen N Things cause they were having their going out of business sale, and I thought I could score some cool frames for cheap. WRONG! They were pretty much cleaned out of frames. But Jade did buy, with her own money, some new sheets and a huge body pillow all for under $20.

So even though I didn't find frames, we also had to stop by Michael's anyway. Jade's reflection picture needed to have a clear coat of shrink wrapped plastic to keep it protected. Well, it turns out that Michale's doesn't do that, but they did have the frames I wanted. I needed 2 each 8x10's and a matching 10x13 for our family pictures.

See our poor family pictures have just been pinned to the wall for the last several months just waiting for the perfect frames? Here they are all framed with sticker letter with all our names. Just need to get them back up onto the wall...Next we went to the Artist's Edge in Silverdale, and they were able to shrink wrap Jade's drawing for about $7. NOW it's protected and ready to go onto district judging.

After THAT, we stopped at Barnes N Noble, Jade wanted to get a book for her friends birthday. But she couldn't find the book she was looking for. But I got my coffee. :o)

Now we are home. I think I may do some scrapbooking... did I mention I picked up a couple thing while at Michaels??
