All together now....

..."Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!"

Let's see, where to begin, I finally got the tree done. Here it is, you can even see the snow out side!
And here are a couple of my favorite ornaments... this is a sweet little baby bear ornament my mom bought for Jade in 1993 (her second Christmas) when we lived in Florida... my first Christmas away from home... I love this ornament...
Here's another favorite, Great-Grandma Shield and auntie Sharon bought this ornament for Jade about 10 years ago, when she was 6, she was in ballet for a few years, and she played in the nutcracker performance as a sugar angel (that's right a sugar angel...can you imagine how adorable she was??) So this was a pink blown-glass ballerina. It has a special box we store it in every year, too...Kenton painted this ornament several years ago at the dancing brush in Poulsbo (love that place). And I always love the ornaments the kids make, especially when they are made to fit a picture of them in it!!!This is also a cool one that one of the kids made, I can't remember which one made it, they weren't too sure either, but Jade said she thought she may have made it.... but it's a cool looking stained glass kind of ornament. And look who I found mom, your reindeer's cousin!! He's waiting for the snow...I'm not saying the dolls talk to me mom, but I did tell him to turn around for a picture, and he did... ( ok, I think I'm scaring myself!!)Anyway, like everybody else and their brother, we had to run out and get a few "supplies" before we got snowed in. The stores were packed, kinda exciting, but I'm sure auntie Susan and uncle Stu are laughing at our little bit of snow!! We rented a couple movies, and a game, then went to albertson's and got some hot chocolate...And our "necessities"....So we all got our lunch, Jade and Jeromy split a bag of steak fajita fixings...Kent and I had pizza....Then we all got settled, and watched "Honey, I shrunk the kids". Can you believe my kids have NEVER seen that movie?? Kent said he saw some clips of it on a commercial, but other than that it was new to them. We are really trying to clean up the type of movies we watch. Everything seems to be rated "R" and has sex, drugs, violence, etc. in it, and I just don't want to see that stuff anymore. So we are trying to find some "family friendly" movies, for us all to watch as a family. And they are out there, just have to look! Kent was cracking up during the movie, and not one violent drug message, the 2 teenagers kissed, but he just ignores that. But the kids laughed thru the whole movie.

Anyway, the weather man said snow will start coming around 7pm, but it started snowing here at 1pm... AWESOME!!!! They are kinda small baby flakes, but we have all night right? 6... 7... 8... 9... 10... 11... 12 inches of snow???

LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW!!!

Yes, the reindeer heard you. I told you they can. Although I haven't actually seen one move. It's about 3:30 pm and it's snowing like crazy. We went out too and got a few groceries before the snow started. I just hope the power doesn't go out.
Love, Mom
