The second half of our weekend....

We left off yesterday with Jade's cake in the oven I think... well, here it is on our way to our church get together... if you look closely you can see Jade's initials spelled out in the drizzled chocolate... J-L-S
Some fun pictures of our night... Beriah and Aurora....
Michelle's fabulous hearty cornbread that went with her homemade chili that Jeromy had 3-4 servings of...Jade 17, Julia 14, Stevie 20, you young ladies don't mind me putting your ages in there do ya??
Ashton with a cookie as big as he is....
Cousins: Kent, Jade and Kyle trying to figure out and plan a way to be exchange students in Japan...
And last but not least from our time at Jeremy #2 and Miranda's... a priceless video of Hannah having a temper tantrum, at least it's still cute at this age, right Laura??
As usual, we usually have kids spend the night with us cause we don't want the fun to end. Here's Tessa, Nadia, Aurora and Jade.... missing from this picture of girls that was also with us was Tae', Beriah and Iana, such cute girls - all of them...
And for the boys we have Shane and Alex, Kent stayed over at Laura's with the big boys!!
Well, when we woke up, I found out our kitchen sink was LEAKING!! So I had to wake up Jeromy and tell him we had some good news and some bad news... bad news was our kitchen sink was leaking.... the good news you ask?? My husband is a handyman with skills in plumbing, I was happy about that, and I thought I was pretty clever in how I presented the issue to Jeromy! I think he was hoping for some better news then him fixing it! Oh well, after church he went to Home Depot, got the part and fixed it, he also tightened the faucet while he was working. What a guy... he wouldn't let me take his picture while he was down there working... I had to wait till he moved to get this picture. I told him the people would want to see this...
Another sweet one of Aurora and her dad!
OK, I know you all are probably getting real tired of close ups of Kent's mouth, but I had to show you these 2 pictures, it's amazing! The first one is of Kent's mouth the same day he got his braces, and the next picture is 2 days later- today- and you can see his teeth are straighter!!! It's amazing I tell ya! And I knew you wouldn't believe me so I had to show you the pictures, so you see Kent's top 2 front teeth, and the next teeth over on either side, you can see how they are set farther back, well in the next picture they are almost in alignment with the front 2 teeth, in just 2 days... do you see it??? WOW! And what's even more amazing is Kent is having almost no discomfort at all, just a little soreness that he doesn't even want to take Motrin for. Super strong boy!So, anyway, we dropped off Aurora today, we ran some errands, took a nap (awesome!), we also went to the evening service at church tonight. I'm always tired to go, but I always gain some new knowledge or new understanding that makes it all worth while. So after that you think I went to bed?? Nope! We had other plans. We were having just Tessa stay with us one more night. She has never got to come over just by herself and we have been talking about doing a drawing project. Well, I love to draw, and I love kids being creative and artistic, so we were going to do a still life drawing. Basically you just pick some random objects and put them all together and then start drawing what you see, it's great practice for depth perception drawing. So Jade, Tessa and I all picked some weird objects around the house and here's what we came up with...
Jeromy took this of all of us drawing....Even Kent got in on some drawing time...

Jade had packed away all her really good inking pens so we had to make due with some crude drawing utensils.... Here's Tessa hard at work, she's great with the small details in her drawings, they really make it come alive...Here she is with her drawing, kinda hard to see but you can see her cute face...And here's her close up... GREAT JOB TESSA!!!

Here's mine, I'm no professional but I do love to draw, it is so relaxing...

Jade is still working on hers as I write this so no picture yet...

OK, it's after 11pm, time for bed... oh yeah, I ran 3 miles early this morning... it seems so long ago... good night!
