New Bibles!!

I forgot to mention that a few weeks ago Jeromy had ordered all of us new Bibles. He's been investigating different ones and different versions, and he was really happy with this one he found. And we got them just a few days ago!

It is called "The John MacArthur Study Bible" the New King James Version. I didn't know there were so many versions until the last couple of years. Anyways these are very nice Bibles. It was so cool that he got one for all of us cause these aren't cheap, he said he's get one for Aurora when she gets older, she has a little girl Bible... cause well, she's little. Jeromy also got all our names put on the covers....

He also got the tabs. I have been wanting these for a while... I love the rainbow tabs... makes finding different books with-in the Bible so much easier....Kent has plain silver ones....He's going to order more for himself and Jade. I also made a prototype Bible cover for these larger Bibles ( I made one for Jeromy's smaller Bible before) and I think this ones going to Jade, she can take a silver sharpie and have fun with it. I'm going to make canvas ones for Jeromy and I. And Kent's old cover fit his new Bible....I just love my new Bible... never thought I'd get so excited about a Bible. It's true what they say.... His word is Alive! This morning at church, we read across a passage that makes so much sense....

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

1 Corinthians 1:18

This rings so true when I try to talk to people at work (when I am brave enough like my own daughter to share my faith). People just look at you like you're crazy or that it makes no sense, well that verse tells us just that.

When I finally started praying to God, repented of my sins (this is on going of course!), and started to read the Bible, I swear it was like a vale was lifted and things that didn't make sense before in the Bible, started to make sense. Sometimes it is so frustrating cause things seem so PAINFULLY clear to me but not to others, so then I think of that passage. It's up to each of us to take that first step in humbling ourselves to God.

Love you all!
