Sunday is FUN day...

We had a very (busy) fun (exhausting) exciting (non-stop) weekend.
Here is a quick picture from last night, of Aurora playing in her room. Jade is letting her use her boom box (cause Jade has every other music device out there) so Aurora could listen to her Disney CD. I know I've said how sweet Aurora is, but she makes it so easy to love her! Blending 2 families togehter takes alot of work, but she makes it so easy! She is the sweetest, most polite, appreciative, loving little girl, and she has a pretty cool guy for a dad!
This morning we got a quick bite to eat and then headed to church. We are all really loving this church. Pastor Kevin is so knowledgeable, he makes things make sense in the bible. And he helps clear up things that are hard to make sense when trying to understand how the culture was long ago... makes me almost wish I had paid more attention in history class.

After church, we went to the infamous Family Pancake House, I always think of my grandma and grandpa Shield, and when I was little they'd take me out to eat there with Nick. Our parents also took us out there alot growing up. These are some happy hungry kids...
I almost didn't let Kent order this breakfast, if the breakfast cost almost $10 I just think that's telling you it's too much food, maybe not for dinner prices... but breakfast??? $10??? Anyway, I have friends who "jokingly" say that I am starving Kent cause he is so skinny, well the last several months he has been eating like a horse!! Look at this breakfast.... (also if your breakfast comes out on TWO plates, another sign it might be too much food!!!)... 2 pancakes, 2 sausages, 2 pieces of bacon, a side of ham, 3 eggs and hash browns... oh and 2 hot chocolates! Kent gave it 2 thumbs up. He didn't eat it all, but he almost did!

I LOVE these three kids so much!!After breakfast we headed over to Tacoma to go visit Jeromy's parents. His step-mom is still recovering from her surgery, and seems to be doing pretty good, but I didn't want to push it by pulling out my camera, so no pictures of them.

Then we were trying to figure out what we could do for a few hours before taking Aurora back home. And Jeromy said there was an indoor putt-putt golf course. So off we went. Each player had a different colored ball. Aurora get her pink ball in the hole... this was her first time playing golf of any kind and she said she liked it....One of the greens went behind this cool waterfall, I love waterfalls, they're right behind rainbows in "Katie's book of cool stuff"...I wasn't really in the mood to play, but it worked out cause you could only have groups of 4 play, that was cool, cause I kept score for them and got to take pictures... here's the fantastic 4...Jade preparing for her next shot...Kenton hits one across this cool little bridge, while Jade looks on and encourages him, in only the way a big sister can...Here's the fantastic 4 again....After golfing, we had to take Aurora home, what a bummer, we have so much fun with her. She completes our family, and we miss her, especially Jeromy, while she's gone. She does have a school concert later this month that Jeromy is going to go to! And also baseball season is starting up, we'll definitely be checking out some of her games!

Then Jeromy has been checking out Craig's List online for any thing he can get for free to help out building stuff for the chicks, and he came across this collapsible dog kennel, that is in great condition that he can use for the baby chicks until they get bigger, so I guess his fancy box house he made with duct tape won't be needed after all....

Then we ended up going to the evening service tonight. It was fun cause it's alot smaller group than sunday mornings, so they use alot less chairs, so tonight they had the chairs in a huge circle shape and we read the whole book of Esther in the bible (a short book) and we all took turns around the circle reading. And there was one main "good" character and one main "bad" character. And everyone got one of those horn blowers that you blow on new years eve, and when we came across one of those names the whole group would blow their horns. The kids were having a blast, even some of the parents were cracking up. Even pastor Kevin was blowing his horn. It was just some good clean fun, they always make sunday evenings a little different and fun. Here's Jeromy and the kids in the background blowing their horns....We also supported more girl scouts today by buying some more cookies, yum!

Now time to go get ready for bed! Hope you all had a fabulous weekend!

You're life makes me exhausted - you pack so much into a day! Love the pictures. Can't wait to see how the chicks do - it's a good thing the "coop" will be on the other side of your property. As I told you before, chicken coop is the (excuse the pun) "fowlest" smell on earth.
Love, Mom
