I guess Sunday is FUN day too!

Well, like most out there, we were surprised to wake up to snow.... alot of snow... and still actively snowing....

I wasn't so sure about making the drive to church cause our hill makes me nervous. But after some convincing from Jeromy we decided to give it the "old Christian try" as he put it. We got about 1/3 the way there after passing a few cars on the freeway in the ditch, we turned around and went back home, just too dangerous. And on the way back home a huge commercial type truck fishtailed RIGHT IN FRONT OF US!!! Scary!!

Since we couldn't make it to church- major bummer- we had a small bible study at home with just the 4 of us. Safe at home. And then a nice lunch- tuna fish sandwiches...
I like mine toasted on an english muffin YUM...

Then just a few short hours later, it is melted enough to venture out.

We still had the potluck to go to tonight that we did NOT want to miss. So we headed to the grocery store, yup and so did the camera...

I was making a stir-fry and some corn bread to bring to the pot luck. I browned some ground turkey in one pan, then cooked some chopped fresh onion, diced ham and a couple scrambled eggs in the other pan, while the rice was cooking in the steamer, and corn bread in the oven.

When all was done, I mixed it all together (minus the corn bread) and added some soy sauce...

Now don't gag yourself with a spoon at this next thing, but while that was all cooking, I made Jeromy some special coconut flavored rice crispy treats and peeled him an orange while he was sleeping and brought it up to him, I think more than just the chickens are spoiled in this house! Just kidding we are all blessed in this house! Then we were off the the potluck for Jeremy and Christy... here they are with their 3 kids... in order: Abby, Timmy & Bailey...Here in order are Jeremy #1, Jeremy #2, and my Jeromy #3. Jeromy #1 is the guy who is the associate pastor of our church who is going with his family to Sandy Valley, Nevada to be the pastor for that church that has no pastor. For those of you who think people should be doing missions right here in our own country- these people are doing it! They are a part of this organization that sends willing pastors and their families to small rural areas that have a church but no pastor. This is a huge change for Christy and Jeremy, and I can see, after only going here a couple of months, how much these people love them at this church and are going to miss them. Some random pictures...This was kind of a cool thing. There was a running joke that when Jeremy #1 left, would Jeremy #2 become Jeremy #1, and my Jeromy become #2... well the joke kept circulating, and so tonight Jeremy was presented with a shirt with Jeremy #1 on the back and the church decided they were retiring his Jersey, he would forever stay Jeremy #1 at Calvary Church, and they had pens for everyone to sign the shirt...OK, you knew these pictures were coming ...We had a really nice time visiting with everyone. I've gotten to know alot of people at this church, we definitely feel "at home" here. So now we are home, and Jeromy wanted to say good night to the chicks, it almost looks like this little chick is going into the fire, but it is just that heat lamp in their cage... All 4 of 'em are loose here, and one of them almost always goes to the bathroom, but you can see the clorox wipes are right there, and they are NOT aloud on the carpet...And auntie Linda, I don't think I'll ever be ready for rabbits. They are sooo cute when they are babies BUT, on my list of things I am allergic to, rabbits ties with cats at the #1 spot.

So that's the end of our weekend. Full of fun, lots of FOOD, and awesome fellowship from people at church. Good times!
