Super Saturday

First of all I have to say I DID almost have a heart attack when I saw that Laura posted twice in 2 days, that was awesome! You even posted the party before I did!

So this morning we had Christy's going away luncheon. I have only been going to this church for a few months now, so I have only gotten to know Christy a little bit, but we did go to high school together, such a small world, it was nice to start to get to know her all over again.... she remembers details of when we were in school that I can't remember at all, she has an amazing memory and now she is devoted to God and is sooo knowledgeable... here's some of the girls... Christy is the one behind Stevie in the front....

Here's a group shot of all of us... except for Laura, she took the picture, you'll have to check out her blog where she's in the group shot and I'm taking the picture... there was actually another Katie there... and I heard someone say "Katie 2 is married to Jeromy 3" cause we have 3 Jeromy's at the church....

Now I gotta back track to last week, Jeromy has been building some cabinets for his parents. His dad was having him build them as a surprise for his step-mom Joanne.... here are the cabinets in process....

Then yesterday, Jeromy went to Tacoma to install the cabinets, this is where they were going...

They look so cool...Here is the new microwave that the shelves were made to fit with... Jeromy also said that there were shelves put into the long cabinet....Looks like some happy parents to me....Ok, so fast forward back to today, after the luncheon today, Jeromy and I had been planning some "quality date time" cause we work opposite shifts during the week. So we went to... are you ready for this??... a "Home and Garden Show" at the fairgrounds. This is something my parents do. I guess I am really growing up. Doing stuff for the house is "fun" to me now, and seeing all the ideas for what can be done for the yard is ... can I say it??... exciting! I was so sure my parents were there that I called my mom, and she said they would have probably been there but my dad was sick... here's a couple pictures...I thought these wind chimes were super sweet....And I told you that I love water falls right???We weren't going to buy anything, but leave it to me to go to a Home and Garden show and buy picture frames!! But they had this really cool laser cut wood frames!! And they had all 3 of our kids names, they never have Jade or Kent's name, and Jeromy was shocked they had Aurora's name, I think that was a sure sign we had to get them... don't you???? They also has some amazing frames for "class of 2010" (Jade's graduating year ahhhh) or what ever graduating year, with what ever name spelled in several different fonts.... I WANT that for all 3 of the kids graduating class pictures, they were so COOL!!!Then we headed to Famous Dave's for an early dinner, here we are being super cute... love that guy...Jeromy's made some more progress on the chicken coop, here's some walls...And there were some left over cans of paint of our actual house, so he's painting the coop to match the house... cool.... spoiled chickens...I know you are all dying to meet the latest additions of chicks we got.... this was yesterday, Jade holding them in the box on the way home...Here they are, the brown one has been named Link, and the orangy one is named Opi, both named by Jeromy. NOW he's talking about getting a 5th one when Aurora comes over so she can see them when they are tiny cause they grow bigger daily... uh oh what are we getting into?? Right now we have as many animals as we do people in this house....They are sooo cute tho....They all seem to be getting along... Winker and Garcia are checking out their new pals Link and Opi...Look at the chick on the perch, it's like a baby realizing it has feet for the first time, it's like she's saying "hey, where did this come from?? wait, I got 2 of 'em??"How cute is this???Almost as cute as this...OK, for these next couple of pictures PLEASE don't laugh... too much! I love the chicks, I think they are adorable but I'm not really good at holding them, it makes me nervous cause I'm just not used to animals, this little squirmy thing in my hands, oh and the fact that it could crap on me at any time ( sorry for being so crude grandma!!) so I look very unnatural holding this poor little chick....I'm smiling in this next picture but if you look closely (not too close) you can see the slight strain in my face, and it is being held a safe distance from my face... I don't know don't ask...Jade's a natural tho...Here's a couple pictures of Jade and I. It has been a long week with not enough sleep, and I think these pictures show it. But tonight, I get to sleeeep...Tomorrow we have church, and then later in the evening there is going to be a huge pot luck for Christy, her husband Jeremy#1, and their 3 kids Timmy, Bailey & Abby, going to be fun, filling and full of picture taking!

Grandma I hope you're feeling better so we can come see you soon, just like auntie Mary-- you're TOO CUTE to not be feeling your greatest, we love you!
