Well I thought today was going to be a lazy day...

Here's our list-O-things to do today, I thought it was going to be a pretty easy day, but the list kept growing of things we needed to get done.
Well, we headed out and I paid the kids their report card money for their grades, and then we went to Farmland where Kent wrote a check for some turtle stuff for Dynamite's cage. Here he is cleaning out her cage with big sister's help...
We got a few things at Costco, kinda crazy in there, but we got in and out ok.

Also while we were out, we helped support our local girl scouts...
When we got home, Jeromy wanted me to cut his hair, well.... I have never cut hair before, so I read the booklet that the clippers came in, and then we got started...
I think it looks pretty good, now that Kent and Jeromy's hair has been cut at home, we have saved at least $30-40. Awesome!!
Then Jeromy and the kids went outside to do some yard work, there's always yard work to do it seems. While they were all doing that, I finished painting the trim in Aurora's room and the letters spelling her name. When Jeromy came in, he hung her letters and we put her room back together. It looks sooo cool, here's a couple pictures before so you can remember the ugly wall paper look....

And removing the nasty wall paper...And how it looks now...
Mom, you can see in this next picture how bare her window looks, when we get Aurora next time, we need to go to Material Girls so I can have her pick out some cool material for curtains!! She is going to love this room, I know I do!
Then Jade and I made dinner, Jade helped me by making the biscuits... rolling the dough...
We were also making an experiment dinner, I always wanted to make stir-fry, but I don't have a Wok, anyway, we made chicken, cut up some finely sliced ham, scrambled an egg, and made rice... well we liked it, with some teriyaki soy sauce on it!!Something else, Jeromy had started doing some reading of the bible during dinner time with the kids during the week nights while I'm at work. Everyone reads a couple verses out of the bible. Kinda cool, the kids seemed to get right into it... isn't she cute??Now for some serious reading ...And now Kent's turn...These kids are such a blessing and I LOVE them so much!!!So after dinner we all talked about the highlight of our week, and Jade said it was going to the park with the whole family. It really makes me realize how all kids really want is "TIME" with their parents... just spending time with them is so important, and what is even more amazing is that it doesn't even cost anything.

So we all enjoy going to Barnes N Noble to get coffee and hang out, well Jeromy doesn't do the coffee part- more for me!!! So off we went! Books and coffee.... awesome. I read in excerpt out of a book that was about simplifying your life- which I am all about these days- and it said you can't worry about tomorrow or stress about it, all you can do is take care of today, I know we've all heard a variation of that a millions times, but sometimes I need to hear something a few hundred times before it sinks in, and this time it is.... so much out there to worry about and wonder about, and stress about. Well, all I can think about is today, my family is all around me, we all have full tummys, and I have my latte... I think I've got it pretty good, and I thank God for it all!

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:6-7

That "be anxious for nothing" part has been such a wonderful reminder to myself when I start getting too stressed out with life.

Those lazy days and morph into the busiest ones. And it looks like you had a very full day. You did a good job on Jeromy's hair, even though he looked a little concerned at the beginning. Love Aurora's room - just let me know when you want to go to Material Girls. I'm glad you're happy - that's the most important thing I've ever wanted for you!
Love, Mom
