Happy Valentine's Day!!!

OK, there are a ton of awesome pictures in this blog, I mean ALOT!!! But when there are so many cute ones it is really hard to choose, but we all love pictures right?? Oh, and there are 3 short videos, too!

We have been having a great day! We started off our family valentine's day with "Sweetheart Run" that was being held at Bangor! There was a one mile and a 3 mile (also known as the 5K).

This was our first run for 2009, and our first valentine's run, AND our first run with all 5 of us!!! In our group Jeromy ran the one mile with all 3 of the kids, and I did the 3 miles...

And Laura and her family came, too! Running in their family is the "untouchable" Kyle, Shane & Jason. Kyle did the 3 miles, and Jason did the one mile with Shane...And we all know Laura really wanted to run, but she just had a baby, plus someone had to watch the little ones. Here's Laura, Max- who knew I had my camera , and Hannah, you can actually see her little head peaking out of the stroller...

Here's all the kids... these runs are so fun, Misty I can let you know when the next one is, I'd bet Denny and Mason would love it!!!

After we all got our numbers on I took a short video of us all walking to the starting line...

There were quite a few people running, more people than this picture shows...Thanks to Laura we got alot of cool action shots... here's Jeromy and Aurora about to cross the finish line...

After the run they have an award ceremony where they hand out ribbons and medals. Ribbons for those who placed in the 1 mile, and medals for those who ran in the 3 miles. Here are the kids waiting patiently for it to start....

After my shower (I have to shower after I run or I and everyone around me is not happy) I was ready to hold baby Hannah...

And then another beautiful girl got in the picture (you'll have to forgive my tomato face, I am always beat red for a while right after I run).

And then the awards... they had the winners separated by male and female winners, and then by age group. And in the age group for girls ages 7-9, Aurora won 3rd place. I think she was surprised to hear her name... so she went up in front of everyone and got her ribbon...

Here she is, her first race and she placed, she ran her mile in 10 minutes 30 seconds... now if you will look at her number... 316, mean any thing to anyone?? You know I have to say it, so get ready. If you look in your Bible in John 3:16, you will read... "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

And here' Jade, and she won FIRST place in her age group of 16-18 females. Her time was 10 minutes 11 seconds, she's so close to getting into the 9 minute mile...

And then we have Kenton, and he won 3rd place in his age group of 13-15 boys in the one mile, his time was 10 mintues 45 seconds... this is the first time Kent has placed in a race so I was pretty proud of him...

Then we have "will leave you in his dust" Kyle who won FIRST PLACE in his age group for the 3 mile, and he also placed 3rd over all, AMAZING!!! And adorable Shane won 2nd place in his age group...

And Jeromy won 2nd place, and Jason won 3rd place in the males 30-39 age group, what great dads to run with their kids...

After the race Kent went to spend the night at Kyle's , so when we got home I only had a picture of 3 of my winners...

By now you probably realize I didn't place... sniff sniff... I ran one of my best times, too, but there were ALOT of people there, and apparently alot in my age division, oh well, I am so glad all the kids placed, that was AWESOME!!! We got shirts from the run just for the girls, cause the guys didn't want girly heart kissing shirts I guess...

Then we were onto fun activity #2 for the day, painting Aurora's room! Aurora painted the first pass....

And this is actually just the primer we are painting first. The colors she chose are much brighter...

Aurora was a big help in painting her room, here she is painting the other primer coat...

While we were waiting for the primer to dry (only takes 2 hours) we made some valentine chocolate chip cookies... how do you make valentines cookies you ask? Well just make regular chocolate chip cookies and add M&M's that are valentine colors... just watch...

YUM!!

So then we started on the real color of paint Aurora chose... it is called PLUM JAM...Aurora did a great job with cutting the paint in the corners....But it looks like we may need a second coat after it drys in 24 hours.... and we weren't able to get to the top color... this is definitely going to be a "couple of days" project...

Then we had our Valentine Day Steak Dinner. I think Aurora approves...
