Breakfast, painting & cleaning.... and more errands??

Jade and I were picked up by Grandma Cindy and we met up with Misty and Kelsey at the Victorian Rose Tea Room for me and Misty's belated birthday breakfast. We have all been so busy and the restaurant was under construction for a while as well. But we finally made it. We got there a little early... here's Jade chilling in the back seat waiting for the place to open...
And here's some adorable pictures of Kelsey...I couldn't stand it any more I had to get her out.... can you tell I LOVE babies???
Here's all of us: Jade, Katie, Kelsey, Misty & Grandma Cindy...
After eating mom got all us girls a little something for our birthday, thanks mom! While browsing around I got some more cute shots of Kelsey...LOOK at those eyes... When we got home it was time for a little house cleaning. Jade took their bathroom upstairs and Kent cleaned the one down stairs...While the kids cleaned, Jeromy and I worked on a couple more coats of paint in Aurora's room...Remember that bottom color is "plum jam", and that top color is "tropical smoothie"...

I think they turned pretty close to the color samples Aurora chose...So we got the second coat on the dark purple, I think that primer did the job cause that second coat looks great. And we got the first coat of the bright pink on, but will need another coat tomorrow.

Jeromy put the shelving back in the closet, we didn't do a second coat in the closet cause we figured it would be covered up by stuff, and we ran out of that paint color and I didn't want to buy more for just a closet, but I think it looks pretty cool!

This next picture is kinda cool, I took it standing in the hallway, you can see the pink in Aurora's room, the purple in my room, the green in Kent's room, and the orange in Jade's room, and if the bathroom was open you'd see a bright blue, the bathroom Jade was cleaning earlier... yup, we like bright colors....Then Jeromy and I went out to run some errands, we had to get the trim pieces for Aurora's room to divide the colors... I don't know... something about seeing my husband in Home Depot doing his man stuff... I'll just leave it at that...Cutting them down to fit in our car...Then we stopped at Michael's to get Aurora's name spelled out in wood letters like Kelsey's room, thanks for the idea Misty, it is soo cute...So we have to do one more coat of the pink, then paint the trim and letters white (think they are only primed in white right now) and then get it all into place and get her room back into place... it is going to look sooo girly in there when we are done. Aurora was so sweet this past weekend, too, while we were painting Aurora said "Thank you daddy, I appreciate it". What a sweetie.

Loving this 3 day weekend and loving life, and loving GOD for making it all possible. Have a great week!
