day two of our vacation...

But day 1 of the Great Wolf Lodge!!!

Thanks mom for the chocolate chip cookies you made for a drive up to the lodge. They were yummy...

...here is where you'd see the cute pictures of us enjoying some really great pictures. But the "free wi-fi" is really slooowwwwwwwwwww.

So anyway, we had a great first day, got a ton of pictures, some cool videos, but they won't seem to load. So you'll just have to take our word for it until we get back and I can post the cool pictures.

OK, we are exhausted, time for bed.

loooonnnggggg day....

But not one minute of it was spent inside the shipyard gates!! Woo-hoo!!

DAY ONE, of our family vacation.... as I write this blog late tonight, going back over the day's events, starting with the guys haircuts (didn't we JUST cut their hair??) it seems so long ago, cause the day has been so long...

Anyway, first I cut Jeromy's hair....

Then Jeromy cut Kent's hair....

Look at his face, I love it!!! He looks like he did when he was 5 making that face....

Kent's face is hilarious in this video, Kent is one of those kids who have "sensitive" hair...

Then we did some running around town getting some last minute stuff for our trip. We also were having some friends from church over for dinner, so we ran to the grocery store. Now you get to see all the yummy food I got to make... first of course we have the salad, and the fixings....

Then I read this yummy recipe for baked herb potatoes... made with thyme, oregano, black pepper, salt and olive oil....Every last yummy potato bite was eaten....And some awesome banana bread, I tell you what- this house was smelling great all day...I also made a fruit salad: strawberries, blueberries, grapes and bananas....

And this picture, I thought, was cool. These roses are on their last leg, so I had to thin them out a bit, but the greenery with the roses blends into the ivy painted on the wall...

It's like an optical illusion...Here's Alison, and her 2 kids Hannah and Phillip...Us parents talked for a while after dinner, while the kids played "Imagine If" and "Pictionary"... they were laughing so much, a couple times we would just watch them and laugh ourselves...Woooooo crazy eyes, how did that picture get in there....While at the store we went thru the miniature isle, where you get stuff for traveling, and I had to get out of their cause I was just going to buy stuff cause it was so cute and miniature... and cute... I got the kids each a miniature version of their shampoo... it was so cute....OK, so Hannah and Phillip are spending the night. It wasn't planned but the kids were all having a great time, so we were ok with it, they'll go to church with us, get dropped off and then off we go to the Great Wolf Lodge!!! And don't fret, wonderful blog readers, the lodge has free wi-fi, and Jeromy is bring his lap top so I will be able to blog our adventures every night!! I also bought a waterproof disposable camera that I'm going to use while I ride down the water slides!!! Too cool!!

I have a load of things to do today, license tabs renewal, ice-cream for pot luck at work tonight, pick up Kent's sports physical at GHC, then run it over to his school cause it HAS to be turned in today, oh and pay $82, the form actually stated verbatim :" you have to PAY to PLAY". Bank run, then gas in my car. Thank you Jeromy for helping me run some of these erands, your the best, and even while you're sick xoxoxoxo!

Oh and I had a bible study this morning. I almost didn't go, cause I was feeling overwhelmed with all I had to do before 3pm going to work, but that's just what the devil wants... me to feel so busy with the little details of life, that I can't make time for God. I'm really glad I went cause I have been so frustrated with Josh, child support, lawyers, etc. that I have really been stressed out lately and my eating and the scale has proved it. So it was really nice to go this morning, and hear that God will work this out for my good, and he won't give me more than I can handle... so if I can just put the darn donuts down hahaha!

Anyway, some quick pictures, last night Jeromy and the kids drove to Tacoma to see Aurora's school concert. It was a cowboy themed event. Isn't she adorable?? Cute dad, too...

This is Aurora's half-sister Blonca, she was in the concert, too...And one more of just Ro, she is so stinking cute!!Ok, time to get ready for work. It's kinda sad when I can go to work and finally relax.... ahhhhh, with my Latte.... thank you Jesus!

2 more work days...

Only 2 more work days until I have 5 days off from work, and we head off to our vacation, which we leave for on Sunday afternoon. I can hardly wait!!

Yesterday, Jade had her friends Brianna and Katie come over for a few hours after school. Cute girls, especially that one on the right....

Then I got a picture outside where the chicken coop is going to go. Jeromy did alot of cleaning back here and has got some concrete blocks for the foundation I think, or the border.

While outside, I snapped a picture of the guys inside, Kent eating his lunch...

And Jeromy, poor guy has been sick the last couple of days, I told him he better get better by the weekend. Another great reason to be your own boss, he doesn't have to call in to anybody explaining why he's not coming into work.

And Jeromy didn't want me to take his picture cause he wasn't feeling good, but I snapped this one of me kissing him before he saw the camera. Poor guy. He said he did feel a little better today tho.

Real quick...

Had more stuff to blog but I am going into work early and I don't have the time. But I did have this one beautiful picture of one of the roses opening up... so pretty.

Other quick news, our tax return is in today WOO-HOO! I am taking 3 days off next week while the kids are on their spring break and we are going to the Great Wolf Lodge for a couple of days, and maybe one day at the ocean if we can wing it. OK, I gotta go get ready for work!

Now it is time to make the cake. And I have the perfect 2 girls to help me with the cake. I baked it. Jade frosted it.... concentrate grasshopper...

And Aurora decorated it with mini M&M's...Perfect!!!

Since we're talking about chickens, I thought you should all know that our brown chick that was named Link, has now been renamed to "Beauty", this is the name Aurora has chosen! And then lastly, our cousin Kyle was celebrating his 15th birthday tonight with a bunch of friends. Misty was nice enough to drive Kent over to Kyle's and saved us a trip, thanks so much Misty!!! I know Kyle is kind of a health nut, and so I didn't want to get him a big bag of candy, so Jade though we should get him a grape fruit, I thought that was hilarious! So we got him a grape fruit and tied a balloon to it! With a card and some b-day $$$!
