We had a pretty busy day today. We went to church this morning, and Jade helped out in the toddler room, she said it was fun! Today's message was focused on why we are followers of Christ, and the pit falls to look out for. I'm so glad my kids are learning these values.
After church from noon till 2pm all the jr. and sr. high kids meet at their church office, and they had a potluck. They sing some songs, play some games, eat, hang out. I think the church does the S.A.G. (sunday afternoon gathering) once a month. What was HILARIOUS, is part way thru the time, Jade sent Jeromy a video from her cell phone of Kent playing turkey bowling... yes... it was a video of Kent swinging a thawed, uncooked turkey that looked like it was ready for the oven, holding it by it's turkey legs and flung it across a big blue tarp to some bowling pins. Jeromy and were grocery shopping when we got the video, and I laughed out loud in the store!
So while the kids were hanging out for a few hours, Jeromy and I went out to breakfast, then blew a few hundred dollars at Costco, and some more at Albertsons getting some Thanksgiving stuff. I am having Thanksgiving at my house with my parents and Misty's family. Getting excited!!
I know this is alot of words, but I promise there are some cool pictures coming! After all the shopping we got the kids, and we headed to the mall, cause Jade was needing some essentials... some new shoes.... I liked the shoes, but the neon laces she bought special... um... take some getting used to. But she loves them, so I guess that's all that matters... right??
She also got 2 pairs of jeans at Old Navy- she's wearing one them here, and this 'lighter' winter red coat....
And here's the 'heavier' winter coat...
Another one cause I couldn't decide which picture was cuter.... (can't miss those laces)
We also got Kent some new shoes, his feet are growing sooo much...
A cute one of mom and Kent
I NEED COFFEE...
That's better... here's where Costco exploded in our kitchen...
I was having some car issues, so Jeromy got the part and fixed my car this afternoon, now I can safely drive at night. I LOVE him!!
OK, hopefully you're not just about to eat... this may be TMI (too much information) for some. But my little baby Kenton had his first shave today! I asked Jeromy if he would come and kinda help me, and he said I could stand and watch while he helped Kent. Well, what ever! I got some cool pictures. But get ready for some ...um... extreme close-ups. These may be only pictures a mother can love LOL! Kent had some scraggly hairs on his chin that were DRIVING me crazy, so he had about a month to get used to the idea he'd be shaving soon. And today he was ready!
Can you see that one long hair on his chin?? Well, there were several there, and I have cut it several times with scissors, but today comes the razor... here's Jeromy giving him a quick lesson on how much pressure to apply, and what direction to go etc... I don't know about you, but I think these pictures are priceless!!
Here they are lathering up....
Such cute guys...
Getting those hard to reach places....
CUTE!!
Almost done...
When they were all done, Jeromy helped Kent put on some yummy smelling after-shave... wait Jeromy said it's called Halston Z-14.
Look at that PERFECT face! And NO scraggly nasty long chin hairs!
But this is what I really see...
Well, now I'm getting ready to drop Jade off to the movies, she's going to watch "Twilight" with 2 of her friends.
GOOD NIGHT!!
Oh ya, if you haven't read my blog in a couple days, you may want to scroll down and see the cute birthday pictures of Madison and Isaac's B-day party!!!
