Well, today is the day... the first day I have ever voted. I brought the kids with me so they could see what it was all about. I thought that was picture worthy... GO McCAIN!
The kids (especially Kent) really wanted to vote. Both will be eligible next election in 2012 . But if they could have voted, their choice was obvious....We found out that Jeromy was able to vote at the last minute, so he met us at the court house... another one for McCain...
Unfortunately it looks like it may be Obama, but we'll definitely be praying for him and our country.
Other exciting stuff during the day, the kids are both participating in the "Reflections" contest for 2008 school year. It is a huge annual art contest, and we love art around here!! So while Jade was in school, Kent and I went to Micheals and Joanns to get some poster boards and other misc. supplies for them to do their art projects. Here's Kent and I being super cute!!
I know he looks like I Josh (his dad) double carbon copy, but I think Kent looks like me, too!!
Then tonight Jade and Kent had their varsity checking acct class at the bank. Teaching them how to balance a check book, and write checks with the latest ways to help keep them from being victims of check fraud, and identity theft. Pretty cool info- I even learned a few things. The kids enjoyed the class. And they got a certificate of completion that is good for their first free box of checks.
What a busy day. Have a good night!
