Goodbye Aurora!

Here's Aurora again with her daddy... love those dimples!!!
We had church this morning. It was nice, almost too nice... Jeromy and I both want a little more meat with our potatoes... if you know what I mean... we'll wait a little longer to see how things go.
Anyway, we went to my mom's house after church and she helped me fix up some of my pictures, and I also used some of the Seattle Nutcracker pictures and got our holiday cards ordered!!!
Then it was time to take Aurora home :o( we never want to do that. While driving back to Tacoma we looked back and she was reading her bible, what a good girl, she is about half way through reading her bible...After dropping off Aurora, we stopped by Jeromy's parents house who also live in Tacoma, and visited for a bit... while talking to Joanne, Jeromy's dad fell asleep, and he took these pictures, not me! But Jeromy!!!

Then we left there, and thought we'd get a quick bite for dinner while in Tacoma cause it was getting late, and I got this one of Jeromy multi-tasking... talking on the phone about an up-coming job next week AND ordering his dinner... that's talent people!

Anyway, hope everyone had a great weekend. Stay safe out there with all the frantic shopping. Try to remember what the season is truly about! Love you all!

Too much fun!

A few weeks ago I decided that I wanted to see the Nutcracker in Seattle this year. I hear about it every year, and we decided to go this season! I've been so excited! We figured out what weekend we'd have Aurora, and then we bought 5 tickets... people call it the nose bleed section, but for $52 per person, I don't know how they can call it that!!

Jeromy actually picked up Aurora last night. Here she is with her daddy this morning, getting ready to go to The Nutcracker at McCaw Hall...
Another one cause they are just so dang CUTE...And then one with me and my daughter... thank HEAVEN for little girls...
We got to the ferry with a few minutes to spare, so we stopped at Starbucks for coffee and hot chocolate...
Here's Jeromy and 'Ro, chillin' on the ferry...

Then the same cute 2 walking into Seattle... ya, I know I take alot of pictures, but I'm surrounded by cuteness, I'm sure you understand!!I'd have to say we made great time, all around today. We made it 10 minutes to spare to the ferry. We got to Seattle with over an hour until the show started... which was great cause when we map quested the directions to McCaw hall, they were WRONG!! We went 180 in the WRONG direction! I am SOO thankful that it didn't rain, cause I did NOT want to pay for a taxi! Needless to say, we walked a few miles, and we NEEDED that spare hour. We got to the location with another 10 minutes to spare till it started. But we made it. Here's a picture of us looking like lost little sheep... (did I mention that I had already done 2.5 miles on the treadmill this morning?!?!)Another picture where it APPEARS like we're wondering aimlessly...But we made it, even though we were 5 stories up, we were in the center seating area, and it was like Safeco field, there just isn't a bad seat in the house, it was AWESOME!!!I took some pictures of the stage but my camera DID NOT do it justice, it was so huge that there wasn't enough light to show up. It was so impressive though!!

Looking over the edge on the other side of the theater, you can kinda see how far up we were...

During the intermission Jeromy and I got a quick picture...After the show there were a ton of figures to get your picture taken next to. Here's the kids next to the nutcracker...Now we were all HUNGRY!! We started walking back towards to ferry....We stopped at Red Robin along the Seattle water front (Red Robin is Aurora's favorite)I shouldn't have done it.... but I did... (did I mention I ran 2.5 miles LOL)When we were done, we only had to wait 20 minutes to catch the next ferry, but we were TIREDRiding the ferry back, we ran into my half brother Jacob again! I asked him if he wanted to sit by us, and he did. We wrote back and forth the whole time (he's deaf, so we communicate by writing back and forth)... I wanted to get a picture of him, but he's so fuuny, he wrote that I already got a picture last time. Lame, but I didn't want to push it! But it was good to see him again.

Anyway, that's the end of our adventure. We are all full, tired, and ready for bed... after watching a little "Barn Yard" the movie. Good night!!

Still digesting...

I tell my self every year TRY to not over do it, but every year, the day I after I am HURTIN'.... well one of these years I'll get it. The food tasted so good!

Not much today. I have to go to work. Jeromy is picking up Aurora this afternoon. Jade and Kent are finishing up some homework.

Jade and Kent went to Seattle last night with their grandma Claire, they went to a restaurant called McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurant. Way too expensive for us, but I'm glad the kids were able to enjoy it. Jade took a couple pictures.

Here's one of the group. It was their aunt Misty's (Jade and Kent have 3 aunt Misty's if you can believe it!!) birthday yesterday also. Both their uncles Jake and Gabe and their girlfriends were there. Their grandma Claire and her boyfriend, and his 2 sons.... I think that's everyone that was there....

And then Jade took a picture of her calamari... funny girl.

Hope everyone had a GREAT thanksgiving!!

Gobble gobble gobble...

Happy Thanksgiving Friends and Family!!

You know, I was fast asleep this morning.... (I can't believe I'm putting this picture in here, but I thought it would make the people laugh)... but I KNEW I had to drag myself outta bed to start this awesome THANKSGIVING-day-O-fun!!

I think this is the 3rd year we have done Thanksgiving at my house. And I got this cool sounding green bean casserole from the radio. So you cook the beans, add crumbled up bacon, and slivers of red peppers. Then of course the cream of mushroom soup, and the crunchy onions on top... looks pretty good eh? eh?
We made a turkey, and Jeromy also wanted the Costco brown sugar glazed spiral ham (wow, that's a mouth full) My mom said you gotta have augratin potatoes with ham and I ABSOLUTELY agree. Here I look a little more presentable making the augratin potatoes....Then mom and dad, Misty, Dennis, Denny, Mason and Kelsey came over. Misty brought deviled eggs, and double stuffed potatoes- she even made some special for Jeromy with no cheese or milk in them cause he can't have that..... mmmm they look delicious!!We had fun colorful place settings...Beautiful cousins.... Jade and Kelsey...Jeromy cutting the turkey for us....Jade is so talented, she's whisking the gravy.... AND whisking the glaze for the ham...Almost time to eat, but first things first... Denny had written an awesome paper about what he was thankful for and it was addressed to our family-how sweet is that? I think my mom got it on video on her blog, but I got a picture of him reading it to us....And then Jade read our prayer for dinner, actually it was a verse from the bible, from Psalms....

Know that the Lord is God! It is He that made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise!

That was just a part of what Jade read. We are Soo thankful in this family for God and His LOVE!!And here's the spread... TIME TO EAT!!!! While we ate, sweet little Kelsey slept right next to us at the table...

After we ate, Jade and Mason decided to.... rake leaves??? Go ahead kids! That's great!!The rest of us decided to play with Kelsey while we let our food digest....Then we got some group shots. Here we are... the Hosts.... Mom and dad, happy proud grandparents to alot of awesome grandkids!!The rest of our group...And then Denny, Dennis holding Kelsey, Mason & Misty...And my BIG baby, sleeping.... Then after everybody left. Jade and Kent's grandma Claire came over. She was taking the kids to Seattle for dinner with their aunt and 2 uncles from the other side of the family. I hope those kids have room for more food!
And now that all the food is put away, and everyone's gone, and it's only Jeromy and I... there's only one thing left to do.... EAT THESE AMAZING CINNAMON ROLLS MY MOM MADE!! YUM!! THANKS MOM!!
