We had alot going on this weekend. It started out with our second fun run of 2011. It was the Dolphin Dash- Formerly known as the Submarine Anniversary Run- held at Bangor Base. It was pretty exciting cause our cousins Laura and Kyle were coming and also our teen friends, from church, Phillip and Hannah. I wish some of the Trig kids could have come like Tessa, Julia, Austin, Tae, Nadia and Beriah... we sure do miss you guys! I LOVE RUNNING!! Here we all are with our numbers proudly placed on our shirts...
My awesome cousin Laura and I...
Jade, Laura and I had all recently gotten new running shoes...
Can you believe all 7 of us placed either 1st, 2nd or 3rd place in our age divisions???? I swear we were not the only runners there! LOL! There was a 1 mile, 5K and 10K. The picture is kinda blurry but you can see we all got a ribbon woo-hoo!!
For the 1 mile: Phillip won 1st place and Kent won 2nd place in their age divisions for boys. Hannah won 1st place and Jade won 2nd place in their age division for girls.
For the 5K: Laura won 2nd place and I won 3rd place in the 30-39 age division for women.
For the 10K: Kyle won 1st place in his age division for boys.
My kiddos with their big red ribbons for second place YAY!!
Then Saturday night we had our family fellowship with the Cooler Schoolers. Didn't get any pictures tho... but that pizza was REALLY good! It was kind of a bummer cause I got called into work. It was supposed to be for a 12 hour shift, but then after 2 and a half hours they realized they weren't ready for what they needed us for yet, so I was able to go home. Kind of a bummer cause it cut right into my visiting time, but it was nice that I didn't have to work all night and was able to get some sleep.
But I did get this really cute picture of Aurora and her dad...
And a picture of one of my favorite trees starting to bloom in the back yard...
On the way home from church I noticed another area of beautiful trees, this picture doesn't do it justice. God is a master artist....
Also after church we were going to be celebrating Jeromy's birthday. He's turning 33, but not till the 18th, but since we had Aurora this weekend, we are celebrating today. My parents were going to meet us at the Outback for lunch. We were all craving the bloomin' onion. So when we pulled into the completely empty parking lot we were totally bummed out! They didn't open till 3pm and it was 12:30 and we were starving! So Famous Dave's was choice number 2.

After lunch we headed back to our house for some cake. Jeromy likes that coconut pecan frosting, but none of the rest of us do so Jade frosted it half and half. Turns out my dad also likes the coconut frosting, too! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY FABULOUS HUSBAND!!!
My mom also made Jeromy some homemade chocolate chip cookies- a new recipe she had. Can you tell Jeromy was having fun getting his picture taken a million times??? Those cookies were really good mom, they were growin' on me, I really like the chewy-ness of them! And of course all the chocolate chips!
I noticed Aurora and Jade were wearing mismatched vibrant socks again, had to take a picture!
And one of the 5 of us....
And lastly, here is me and my 5-head (forehead so big it's a 5-head) and my cool half marathon shirt I got last year in Seattle. It says " Half marathon I like it because it's shorter and I'm lazy like that". I thought it was so funny when I first saw it cause there's nothing lazy about a half marathon!
First week of training is done and successfully completed. Tomorrow starts week #2 which is the same as the first week:
Monday: 4 miles
Tuesday: Cardio
Wednesday: 4 miles
Thursday: 4 miles
Friday: Cardio
Saturday: 4 miles
Sunday: Blessed rest
Week #3 starts in with more mileage-as for now I am excited!!!
