Birthdays, Father's Day Weekend (Part1), special dinners, baseball game, Trig kids, new cell phones, and random artwork & photography by Jade...

Or maybe I should have just titled this blog "Random Pictures"?

Today we had a BBQ at Jeromy's parents house in Tacoma. They were celebrating May/June birthdays and Father's Day. Jeromy's step-mom's sister, Sharon, made special cupcakes for all the birthday people... she made this special one for Aurora... but she wasn't with us this weekend. So Jeromy ate it in her honor...Sharon also made snickerdoodle cupcakes... have your ever heard of that??? Snickerdoodle cupcakes??? They were fabulous! She also made a carrot cake...Here's the adorably sweet Tessa, the wonderfully beautiful Jade and my shockingly handsome husband Jeromy!Random group shot...Kent was one of the birthdays being celebrated today as well... he's 16! Tessa's birthday was in May also... she's 14! She had a slumber party a few weeks ago and had all the girls dress up formal/semi-formal for pictures at JCPenney's! Aurora and Jade are in the picture, too! Tessa's the birthday girl with the crown on her head- middle row, Jade's in the back row, and Aurora is in the front row. It was so much fun watching them get their pictures taken! Those are 12 pretty girls!

Grandma also brought over a special apple strudel for Jade for her graduation a few days ago. (The pie is gone as I write this!)Jade has also chosen some "5 star" dinners from the Internet and has been making some yummy dinners over the last few weeks for the family. This one is called "Cod fish hash"... starting off with fresh from the store vegetables... colorful peppers, onion and garlic- YUMMMAll minced up...This smelled so good, she then boiled the cod fish and then broke it up and mixed it in with her vegetables... it smelled so good!Then she made Sloppy Joe's, one of Jeromy's favorites...That looks so yummy...The guys thought so, too.....Then she made this amazing dinner called "Devine Chicken"- does that NOT look delicious???Then she also made this tasty dish with smoked turkey sausage, beans and brown rice...We've been eating pretty good around here lately... THANKS JADE!!!

Next, Jeromy got to go with Aurora and her mom's side of the family to a baseball game in Tacoma. Aurora received the tickets as an award for being a model student who was chosen to be a school crossing guard... Jeromy took this picture of Aurora and her sister Blanca...

ok, next we have a couple pictures of the Trig kids. Jeromy took these cause he thought they were funny... here's the youngest, Ashton, who is 2, enjoying his cereal with his little feet kicked up on the table...Then there's Julia the 15 year old. Jeromy said she's reading a book about digging holes, and she wanted to know what it was like to dig a hole, so out she went with a shovel to "experience" that... you're so funny Julia! ok, next... remember Kent's new phone he got for his birthday? Well, his particular phone was buy one get one free. I had planned on getting Jade's upgrade in August on her birthday, but I only had 30 days to get the second one free. So I wanted to see if she liked it. She played around with her brother's and decided she DID like it. So back to Verizon we went. She got the same cool phone but with a red case and she also got a memory card to down load music and pictures. Here they are with their phones... Our turtle Dynamite... looks like she wants to say "Are you trying to get between me and my food?"....And now we are to Jade's art work, She has this drawing of kids climbing up her wall... it's actually about 4 feet tall, this is just a close up of the detail of her drawing.

Now Jade had taken a photography class this year. I hadn't seen all her photos but I came across these ones and just laughed out loud! This particular bunch of photos were required to be in black and white- cool.

So here she took a picture of eggs. Looks like just some eggs to you and me right?
