A day of freedom.

I took today off. Kent had an Honor Society Sophomore Induction Ceremony tonight at 7pm.

Before we get to that, I thought I would go over my relaxing day of not going to work!

Ok, so first I got to sleep in till 10:30 ( cause I worked until 2am last night) and I needed to pick Kent up from school at 11. Jeromy drops him off early in the morning on his way to work.

After getting Kent, we- Jade, Kent and I ran some errands. We went to Big 5 to find some information on Letterman Jackets. Everyone I asked said they do them, so we get there and the say they don't do them, but a place on wheaton way does, well, we'll have to check that out anther time.

Then we were off to Costco. We saw Tara there, she said you got a new hair cut Kim, but you haven't blogged in over a month so I don't know what's going on!!! Come on- blog! Ok, so I loaded up on fruits and vegetables. YUM!

I had some blueberries and strawberries...

Later, I had half of a yummy whole grain english muffin with organic all natural peanut butter. I used to loved skippy creamy peanut butter years ago, but after eating real peanut butter, I'll never go back- it tastes like plastic to me now.

Then it was such a nice day outside that I did my 3 miles outdoors and loved every second of it! When I got back, I ate a juicy Fuji apple...

I wanted to make a nice dinner tonight since we all would be home. But I realized I had forgotten a couple of things at Costco- no worries, it's not like I have to go to work and on a schedule or anything. So I ran back to Costco.

For dinner, I made chicken that I baked and then shredded with salsa and black beans. I also made some BROWN rice and wrapped in a tortilla. Jeromy had his over a bed of lettuce and torilla chips... so good!

Then we headed to Kent's award ceremony. He had to dress up for it. He's so cute all dressed up!

Jade found the poster in the hall way of the school that had the students of the month listed. Jade's pointing at the 8x10 picture of her brother...

Here's a video of them calling Kent's name, it's dark and kinda hard to see cause they had the lights dimmed really low while the kids were holding a fake candle...

My boy... I am sooo unbelievably proud of him!

There's the man, Kent said that he forgot how good it felt to dress nice. He was happy with himself. He's such a cutie!

Now we are home and all 4 in our pajamas. I sooo could get used to this. Oh, and I got 3 loads of laundry done AND folded AND put away, usually that happens in stages not all at once with my busy schedule. Also emptied the garbage's up stairs and cleaned our room! W00-hoo!
