Last sunday's birthday potluck.

Jeromy's side of the family celebrated all the birthdays thru out the year with a potluck every 2 months. So last Sunday we all celebrated March/April birthdays.

I can't remember the ages (cause I don't have the paper in front of me) but Jeromy's step-mom Joanne had a birthday...

Jeromy, his dad and middle brother Bill...And this last picture is so cute. Jeromy was sanding the ceiling here at home. I wanted to know if he was wearing a face mask. And he's always so safe, but he took this picture to show me that he was wearing it, you can see how his nose/mouth was protected from the dust. He said the picture was just for me, but I said I wanted to post it, and he said whatever... so here it is!!So now according to yesterday's post, today I am running 3 miles... not really feeling it... but here's were that quote on my fridge comes in handy....

Now if you are going to win any battle you have to do one thing. You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body tell the mind what to do. The body will always give up. It is always tired in the morning, noon and night. But the body is never tired if the mind is not tired.

But I am tired!!! But I will run anyway cause I am learning to be disciplined!

It doesn't even look like our living room!

Doesn't it look crazy with all that draped plastic, but I'm so excited that Jeromy has started on it. He removed all the popcorn from the ceiling. Then yesterday he retextured the ceiling with mud. I think he said today he was going to sand it. It's hard to work on it with his other full time job, but he's methodical about it. He consistently works at it and I love seeing the progress. Of course I can't wait to paint it!

Jade and I did a little shopping today... it seems Kent enjoys running, he's up to 3 miles now. Jade's not really into the running, but she seems to enjoy the cardio workout videos. So we went and got new work out clothes and another DVD. It's another Jillian Micheal's video, we went to Target and they didn't seem to have a large selection to work with. But we'll try this video. We're working up to doing a video 2 times a week together. Aren't we cute??? Try to ignore the messy room behind us!

I still have more pictures to post for tomorrow. We had a potluck with Jeromy's side of the family last Sunday to celebrate the March/April birthdays. And Jeromy bought a guitar from his dad, it's pretty nice. Jeromy always needs something new to do, he enjoys a challenge.

oh ya, today is my sister Misty and brothe in law Dennis' 11th year wedding anniversary- congrats you guys!

Lots going on as usual.

I have alot of pictures of the last several days, but not much time to post all at once. So I'll post a few pictures over the next few days.

First, some more of the flowers Jeromy got me, it's still the same bouquet, but it looks like a different bunch of flowers.... so pretty... Then those cute park pictures I've been promising... Here's Kent, he loves to swing...

I took these the other day. Kent helping Jade with some of her math questions. So sweet. I told them they have to remember these times when they are there for each other cause when they grow up they won't always have each other right there. Yeah, I'm a cheesy mom!

And lastly, Jeromy has started the huge project of starting to remove popcorn from the ceiling in the living room. This is just the beginning. I have alot more pictures. He actually has it all removed already, my living room looks like something out of the twilight zone cause there's large plastic strips from floor to ceiling on all 4 walls. But I'll post those pictures tomorrow.

Our big plan is to remove the popcorn from the living room, the section in the kitchen, then add recessed lighting into the living room and then repaint the whole living room, dining room and kitchen. It's going to be awesome. Since we're not moving, we wanted to do something to make it more our own.

Thursday...

Well, last night I only had to work an 8 hour shift which was nice cause then I was able to go to my Thursday morning bible study. I love going, but my eyes were burning cause my sleep schedule is kinda messed up- hate that.

Our study was focusing on the inner person and not our outward appearance. Such common sense even for people who aren't Christians. We may fool other people with our outward appearance and actions but we can't fool God who looks upon the heart.

I've been working on being more transparent. What you see is what you get. It's so easy to act differently around different people, but I want to be genuine all the time.

So other than being tired, I did get my 3 mile run in today. Going to go shower and get ready for work. Don't know if it's 8's or 12's tonight. Last night we didn't know until midnight that we were leaving and not working till 4am. Just trying to go with the flow and not get worked up about it, kinda hard when the crew is tired and cranky. But by the grace of God I will try my best, I'm just glad He's so ready to forgive when I fail, cause I always do.

Need more hours in the day...

I want to post those cute pictures Jeromy took at the park the other day of the kids, but I don't have time. I'm hanging in there working these 12's... but I don't have time for much else. Did do my 3 miles today. Jeromy came home early today so he can take Kent to his honor society meeting.

My goal is to at least do one productive thing a day while working 12's so I feel constructive- and running doesn't count. Today it is folding AND putting away the 2 loads of laundry on my bed, and with Jeromy taking Kent this afternoon I might actually get it done.

Official first day of Half Marathon training!

Today's the day! It's weird- I even dreamed about it last night that some how I started my training 4 weeks too late, that I had miscalculated when to start! Lame dream.

But today is the right day of the week 10 countdown! Believe me- I double and triple checked and then checked AGAIN! So today is just another 3 miles. But the miles will start adding up as the weeks go by.... I ran outside today...

Earlier today, we ran some errands. Jeromy had a follow up appt for his tooth being pulled, dentist said all is well. Then we ran to Costco. Love that place. Jeromy also surprised me and bought me a new camera... isn't it his birthday??? Well, he knew my camera had been acting up so he got me this new camera. It's so small and cute. And it has 12.1 mega pixels, my other camera had 8, so pictures should be a little sharper!

And lastly, more of the flowers are blooming in this bouquet J3 got me... beautiful...

This week at work is going to be tough. We have a huge "project" going on, and I'll be working 12 hour shifts till it's done. It will be about 1-2 weeks, including Saturdays. But we get Sundays off.

I'm going to be TIRED. But the family is all pitching in. Jade does alot of the cooking, Jeromy does alot of the transporting... and Kent.. well Kent has alot of homework to do, poor kid! Only 2 more months to go then he gets a break! So all I have to do is focus on work, doing my running and eat/sleep.

Right now, I'm just cooling off from my run, and Jeromy took the kids, and we also have Nadia and Tae' with us, he took all 4 kids to Olympic college, dropped off Kent's Running Start application stuff. Jeromy also requested his transcripts from OC because he's signing up to start at a Bible College thru online courses, he's really excited about that. More info on that as it comes.

Then he was taking all the kids to a park to enjoy this nice weather! What a guy, cause he even took his camera to take pictures!

Happy 32nd Birthday Jeromy!!!!

Today my fabulous husband turns 32 years old!

This morning Jeromy headed over to Tacoma to take his mom to a church over where she lives. Jeromy said he was pretty impressed with the church. He said he'd go there if he lived over there.

While in Tacoma he also picked up Aurora and took both out to lunch. Aurora's baby brother "Boston" was born last thursday for those of you who want to know! Here's Jeromy and his ADORABLE daughter Aurora....Here's Jeromy's mom Teresa and Aurora...After they ate, they stopped by and visited Jeromy's grandpa. So in all these pictures there are 4 generations of Jeromy's family....While Jeromy was gone, after we left church over here (we couldn't go with them cause there wouldn't have been enough room in the car), we ran to the store to buy Jeromy's special "gluten-free" cake that he likes. Then went home and baked it up!

And just for fun, Jade, Nadia and Tae' decided to make faces on the oranges... they were giggling over that for a while...Also, Jeromy's been homeschooling the Trig kids for a few months now. And he's been working with them on their science projects. Beriah chose a volcano... here she is making it erupt...

And this is kinda sad but hilarious at the same time. Aiden and Ashton wanted taste the foam. Well, the little one-Ashton liked how it tasted... but Aiden... not so much....

Rainy but beautiful today.

First, when I got home from work late last night, I saw these beautiful flowers with a card from Jeromy. Just because- I think that's my favorite reason to get flowers! Then this morning the family split up. The men: Jeromy and Kent went to a mini men's breakfast/retreat thing at church this morning until after lunch time. Here they are headed out bright and early!

I wanted something fun for us to do with just the girls. And my friend at work told me how she took her girls to the Tulip Festival in Skagit County. Well, I had never been. And after seeing her pictures I wanted to go. So of course I thought of my mom who loves flowers and she wanted to go. I also called Misty to invite her and Kelsey, but she had not one but TWO games with her boys today. We missed you Misty and Kelsey!

So right when the guys left, Jade and I headed over to my mom's house. We were meeting at 8am to go catch the Kingston ferry by 8:35am. Mom took this picture of Jade and I on the ferry...

Then we had about an hour drive. Jade was prepared. She had her games, a book, AND stuff to draw with...

We finally made it... even the entrance to the place was decked out in tulips.... Grandma and Jade...

Once we got back into town it was close to 4pm.

This is also Jeromy's birthday weekend. He turns 32 tomorrow! Tomorrows kinda busy as well, and I wanted to take him out to Famous Dave's for dinner. So tonight worked better. I know it looks like we just ate, but there was about 6 hours between those meals. On our way, we spotted a rainbow, which are my favorite so I had to take a picture....

There's those cute kids again- I just can't get enough of them! Love them so much!After eating we stopped at Barnes N Noble cause ya know... that's just what we do. I bought a couple books for reading. Jade also got a book. And Jeromy wanted another bible for referencing. So that was part of his birthday present.
