Friday and Saturday

FRIDAY

Well, last night I had training at work for an hour and a half and then took the rest of the night off. But I did work a 12 hour shift the night before... I was volunforced... that's what we call it at work.

Anyway, since I had the night off, I was able to go to Laura's every other Friday night hangout with a bunch of families from church... tell you what, it was alot more fun there then at work. Laura and Jason had a huge Mexican feed... a rough estimate counted maybe 20 kids and about 7 couples, everybody brought stuff to go with the Mexican feed and there was ALOT of yummy food! Laura even made enchiladas with out cheese for Jeromy, he really appreciated that Laura! Thanks again!

Here's some pictures of the event...

Shane and Max holding balloons for a guy there turning 19...

Here's a little video of the happenings...

Beautiful Aurora, Beriah and Alex...The teenagers hanging out...

And cute little Hannah...
Stevie and Jade...

Look at those BIG BROWN EYES!!!

Jeromy letting his food settle...

Jeromy and Max....
Some of the women there: Myself, Laura, Moe and Michelle, and babies Hannah and Ashton (or is it Aidan?? I get him and his brother mixed up)

This was kinda funny, remember Pastor Jeremy? Jeremy #1 from church? Well, his family moved to Sandy Valley, Nevada and he and Jeromy are talking back and forth on the computer and seeing each other with that little camera thing on top of Laura's computer...

Aurora and Beriah on the treadmill, I came down stairs and saw them on that... hope that's ok Laura, they were going real slow...

Another one of Jade and a little girl playing princess dress up in the back ground....

Beriah getting every last drop of ice cream with Kyle laughing on....

SATURDAY

Then bright and early this morning, we headed into Poulsbo for the...

VIKING FEST ROAD RACE!!

Jeromy went to the monthly men's breakfast so he wasn't able to go, bummer. But Jade, Kent, Aurora and I all went.

Here's Jade and Aurora at the finish line waiting to cheer us on... we got there early enough so I could get the girls settled with front row seats right at the finish line, and then Kent and I took off for the starting line.

Here's Kenton and I before the race with the finish line just waiting for us to cross over...And here we are after the race with my co-worker Regie. Regie is 61 years young, I went to high school with his kids and he runs all the time. I actually kept up with him this time almost to the very end. As soon as he saw the finish line he was off, alot of people sprint the last little stretch at the finish line, but I am so done by then- there is no sprinting for me.... but.... when I did this same race 2 years ago, I ran the 5 miles in 49 minutes and 55 seconds. Today a beat it by a few seconds and did it in 49 minutes and 37 seconds. Woo-hoo.

And it gets even better, I have been training for my runs alot slower this year to avoid any injuries. So last Saturday I ran the 5 miles on my treadmill at a steady 4.5 miles an hour which took me 66 minutes and 40 seconds to complete, so I shaved about 17 minutes from last week to this week!

I'm still going to take it slow on my training runs, but it's cool to know I can kick it up a bit during the actual runs. I love it! (Whaling Days in July... is waiting for you Laura!!)

Here's Kent and I with our ribbons...

I got to lay out in the sun today also, one of my favorite relaxing things to do. Then I mowed the lawn. Love a freshly mowed lawn.

Jeromy and Auroa went up to the feed store for the chickens. He's buying the chicken more treats... spoiled chickens, then he and Aurora are going to clean out their little house and add clean new bedding.

Jade is also just getting back from her one hour driving time thru the class.

But now, it's true, I am exhausted... yet happy! Have a great Saturday!

Cute pics! Yea for your time on your race! It was my pleasure to have some food for Jeromy & Jade. We will also play a game next time so that Jeromy finally gets his game on. Love you all!
