Well I thought today was going to be a lazy day...

Here's our list-O-things to do today, I thought it was going to be a pretty easy day, but the list kept growing of things we needed to get done.
Well, we headed out and I paid the kids their report card money for their grades, and then we went to Farmland where Kent wrote a check for some turtle stuff for Dynamite's cage. Here he is cleaning out her cage with big sister's help...
We got a few things at Costco, kinda crazy in there, but we got in and out ok.

Also while we were out, we helped support our local girl scouts...
When we got home, Jeromy wanted me to cut his hair, well.... I have never cut hair before, so I read the booklet that the clippers came in, and then we got started...
I think it looks pretty good, now that Kent and Jeromy's hair has been cut at home, we have saved at least $30-40. Awesome!!
Then Jeromy and the kids went outside to do some yard work, there's always yard work to do it seems. While they were all doing that, I finished painting the trim in Aurora's room and the letters spelling her name. When Jeromy came in, he hung her letters and we put her room back together. It looks sooo cool, here's a couple pictures before so you can remember the ugly wall paper look....

And removing the nasty wall paper...And how it looks now...
Mom, you can see in this next picture how bare her window looks, when we get Aurora next time, we need to go to Material Girls so I can have her pick out some cool material for curtains!! She is going to love this room, I know I do!
Then Jade and I made dinner, Jade helped me by making the biscuits... rolling the dough...
We were also making an experiment dinner, I always wanted to make stir-fry, but I don't have a Wok, anyway, we made chicken, cut up some finely sliced ham, scrambled an egg, and made rice... well we liked it, with some teriyaki soy sauce on it!!Something else, Jeromy had started doing some reading of the bible during dinner time with the kids during the week nights while I'm at work. Everyone reads a couple verses out of the bible. Kinda cool, the kids seemed to get right into it... isn't she cute??Now for some serious reading ...And now Kent's turn...These kids are such a blessing and I LOVE them so much!!!So after dinner we all talked about the highlight of our week, and Jade said it was going to the park with the whole family. It really makes me realize how all kids really want is "TIME" with their parents... just spending time with them is so important, and what is even more amazing is that it doesn't even cost anything.

So we all enjoy going to Barnes N Noble to get coffee and hang out, well Jeromy doesn't do the coffee part- more for me!!! So off we went! Books and coffee.... awesome. I read in excerpt out of a book that was about simplifying your life- which I am all about these days- and it said you can't worry about tomorrow or stress about it, all you can do is take care of today, I know we've all heard a variation of that a millions times, but sometimes I need to hear something a few hundred times before it sinks in, and this time it is.... so much out there to worry about and wonder about, and stress about. Well, all I can think about is today, my family is all around me, we all have full tummys, and I have my latte... I think I've got it pretty good, and I thank God for it all!

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:6-7

That "be anxious for nothing" part has been such a wonderful reminder to myself when I start getting too stressed out with life.

3 day weekend!!

Hello out there!

First, here's a pretty picture of the flowers Jeromy brought home yesterday just cause. I love getting flowers "just cause".
Then we all got up really early this morning, we dropped Kent off at the bus stop at 6:40 am, then Jade, Jeromy and I all heading to Tacoma where Jade was having a test done at the group health out there. It was called a HIDA scan (Hepatobiliary scan) to see what's up with her stomach, it's more of an in depth test of her gal bladder that the ultra sound may have not been able to see.

And I took pictures cause I know you'd all want to see how Jade's doing... here she is in the waiting room waiting to be called back....
I asked the guy if I could go back with my daughter. And then he said Jade and her big sister come this way. And I was like "I'm the MOM!!"
Here's she' getting her IV, she almost looks excited, maybe cause she doesn't have to go to school today....
Now she's getting ready to go under the machine.... they injected her with some "stuff" and then they took pictures for the next 2 hours....
That's a long time for me to take pictures people!!! I think I got her at every angle...
I know it's just a minor test but it's weird seeing your baby in this huge machine circling around her....
Me rubbing her head, hopefully this test will tell us what's wrong with her stomach...
SWEET BABY GIRL!!!!!
Jade wasn't supposed to move for the 2 hours, did I mention she had to fast for this exam, too? Anyway since she couldn't move, Jeromy was so sweet, he held a book above her head and would turn the page when she was done reading it...
Here's a little video of the tech telling us what we're seeing on the screen, I couldn't make head or tails of it....
Here's Jade and I after her procedure leaving the hospital...
They had some cool bush sculptures decorating the outside, like this elephant one...
We got back home, got Kent from school, and then I took a 2 hour nap. Cause after working late last night and getting up early this morning I had a little less than 5 hours of sleep, and I'm not 20 anymore! I need my 8 hours at least, Jeromy jokes and says I need my 12 hours.
Then when we woke up (cause Jeromy crashed, too), it was still beautiful outside and Kent said we should go to the park.... GREAT IDEA!!
The kids grabbed their baseball gloves, and Jeromy got the bat, some balls & the frisbee.
Jeromy and the kids...
Here's some short random videos of us all playing... even ME!

Nice form....

Kenton... hitting the ball?

And my awesome kids...

I took the rest of the day off from work making it a 3 day weekend. Woo Hoo!

Have a great day!!

SNOW!!

I know people are getting tired of the snow, but I love it! Leaving work last night it was cool to see a light dusting of snow on all the cars. And then today waking up to about an inch, but the roads are still clear.
Not alot in this blog, I have alot to say (as usual) but no time. The kids had a 2 hour delay so "mom's taxi" is running all over the place.
Have a great day!

Last couple of days...

Well, I forgot to mention in my last blog that on my way home from work at midnight Friday night, there were alot of cops out as usual, and I drove by lots of people being pulled over, and thought how that really sucks... and then there are blue and red lights flashing behind ME.... NOOOOOO!!!

I wasn't speeding or anything, I still had my badge on from work, and then I started to get mad, when he asked for all my info I asked what was I being pulled over for???? And he said one of my head lights was burned out!! Lame!! Jeromy just replaced the other one a few weeks ago, and he thought he should replace both, and I said nahh, it's fine. Then it burns out, too. So he gave me a ticket for $124, but said if I got it replaced with in 15 days I wouldn't have to pay.

Can't believe I left out that exciting detail from Friday night!!

So then Sunday, after church, we went over to a friend's house from church for yet another potluck!!! There were 19 kids total, that's ALOT of kids! Here's some of the fun pictures we took... Here's Jade holding sleeping Hannah, and another little girl, I learned some of their names but that's alot of kids to learn, there was even a set of twins in the group...
Kent found a little friend....The kids kinda broke off into age groups for a while, here's some of the younger ones...Max looking super cool wearing an old pair of Jason's glasses....
Yep, they got chickens... the kids enjoyed watching them for a bit...

Some pretty amazing girls... Jade, Stevie, Hannah & Julia...Kent liked playing with these dominoes....Laura took Max out on a little nature walk... or was Max taking Laura??This was a cool picture, some of the older teenager boys were playing basketball, here's Kyle throwing the ball and all 3 boys jumping for it....Jade and one of the little girls being goofy...Laura, Hannah & Jason...This little boy was really enjoying his cherry pie, I mean REALLY enjoying it!!!So we had a great time getting to know more families at the church, and the kids getting to know other kids that are a positive influence!!!

I have a few more random pictures... this is one of Jeromy's jobs. He had to crawl around and replace some piping. This is the before...

And after....

And this shows how much clearance he had, he was laying on his back and the pipe was resting on his stomach... it's pictures like this that make me ask him when he walks thru the door and before hugging him if he had to crawl anywhere gross, cause I want NONE of that yucky stuff on me!!!And one last one of my cute reindeer my mom made me!! So cute!! They are so cute in fact, that they will stay out all year long so I can look at their cuteness!

Have a great day!!
