Kenton, yesterday, was in Rome, Italy. The kids were going to be visiting the smallest country in the world: The Vatican.
The kids are having a guided tour of Vatican Museums, and to see the frescos of the Sistine Chapel. Tho we are Christians and NOT Catholic, it is very interesting history to see...
Seeing St. Peter's Basilica...
The kids will continue their adventure with a City Quest including seeing the Piazza Navona...
The Pantheon...
The Spanish Steps...
And the Trevi Fountain...
Sunday the kids went to Assisi, Italy. The kids' guide will be taking them thru the Colosseum ...
And the Roman Forum...
Then the kids will encounter local culture during a dinner party with families from Cannara in the Hotel Hortensis garden...
Wish I could see his cute face... I'm ready for him to be home now...
So for over here in the states... Friday night Jeromy had a men's retreat for church he was going to. It was held at a lavender farm! I don't think the guys really noticed, but all the women who volunteered to cook said it was very relaxing and peaceful. Jade went Friday night and stayed the night at the home of the owners of the lavender farm, with other ladies from church. I had to work Friday night, but I was able to drive out Saturday morning. And helped thru lunch and dinner cooking. The head cook: Maranda, had name tags for us all and had written under our names "Culinary Artist" LOL! Not me! But Maranda made sure everything was dairy free for Jeromy! So sweet! There was milk, and cheese cake, but there was always a substitute for Jeromy! Also the lavender owners gave all us ladies a little bundle of lavender and a sample of their lemonade tea with lavender sugar and frozen raspberries as ice-cubes.... YUM!!!
I didn't get any pictures, but my friend Robin took several and will be emailing them to me, so hopefully I can post those soon before I forget.
Today, Sunday, I have a baby shower to go to. It's for Jeromy's sister Patsy's son's girlfriend Brittny. She is having a boy fairly soon. So Jade and I will be going to the baby shower here shortly.
Does anybody remember what the sun looks like? I think I have a picture of it somewhere...

I can't wait to talk to Kent about his trip and see all the pictures he's taken. Hope he's having so much fun!
What an adventure Kent is on...he'll remember these things for the rest of his life! Wish I could have hid in his luggage!!
Such an amazing experience for Kent! He will probably get even more out of it as life continues on and he hears more about that part of the world...and I heard the guys got rained on all throughout the night! I hope they still enjoyed themselves. I have sun over here, you should come and enjoy it with me sometime!
