Today Kent is in Vecenza, Italy. The kids will have an official welcome by an employee of the American Battle Monuments Commission who will guide them through the American Cemetery where over 4000 American soldiers , killed in the capture of Rome in June 1944, are buried.
The kids will then experience a darker chapter of European history when they visit the Fossoli Transit Camp...
Then they will receive an official welcome from the Mayor of Carpi or one of his delegates. Then they will visit a museum dedicated to the commemoration of political and racial prisoners.
Over here in the states, Jade and I finished up Wednesday's VBS. Got even more pictures. But I think I will blog the VBS thing at one time this weekend.
Gotta go get ready for work. Just finished running 6 miles and I REALLY need to shower- just ask my daughter!
