4th of July celebrations 2009!!!

Hope everyone had a great 4th out there!

On July 3rd we had a pre-4th BBQ at my parents house with all of us with Auntie Sharon and Great-Grandma Shield!!! It was such a gorgeous day for a BBQ, too! Here's Sharon and Grandma out in the sun room...
Here's Jade and Kent...
Denny...
Mason...
Kelsey...
Here's Jeromy and I...
These next pictures were of Kelsey having fun with the sliding glass door... she stood up all by herself and would even let go for a few seconds and stand there on her own...
Kelsey looks so much like Misty in this picture...
There's Jeromy again, looks like he's tired of getting his picture taken maybe?? Nahhh, couldn't be...
Yup, I did it, took a picture of grandma while she's innocently eating her smores...
Ahhh, grandma's little angel is sleeping.....
Smokin' hot sisters..... did I say that??? Woops!
I got that same cool pose with the grandkids too mom, the only thing is I didn't get one of you and dad! How can that be??? Actually that close up of Kelsey is on your shoulder mom hahaha!
Thanks mom and dad for another great BBQ!
Now onto the day of the 4th... our church trailer, the one that went thru the parade last week, was also going to be at down town port orchard at the event the "Solid Rock Cafe" was hosting. It was a bunch of live Christian bands playing by the water front. It was pretty cool. I mean down by the water, awesome sun shine, and up lifting "live" Christian music, sounds like a win-win to me! Our church was there providing free water and coffee to people who came to the event.
Here's Jade and Stevie watching one of the bands play with a couple of other girls...
Here's Jeromy at the trailer just to the left of the stage...
He's enjoying a pulled pork sandwich...
Kent and I strolled down to the dock...
The crowd... see Jade sitting in the grass in the front there in the white???
Can you see her now? In between sets they had a comedy team go up, that's why Jade's cracking up!
Here's the comedy duo (wearing wigs) and they asked for volunteers for their next skit, and Jade was picked from the crowd, that's her on the left with her hand over her mouth laughing. And if you look to the far right you can barely make out Jeromy at the trailer watching....
There's Jade again in the audience laughing with her hand over her mouth, and Kent sitting up above her with his shades on belly laughing!
A few times thru out the event they would thru a couple beach balls into the crowd, and if you caught it you won a free ice-cream... guess who caught a ball!
Here's the four of us... just missing sweet little Aurora to make it complete...
When Jeromy was done with his shift, at about 7:30, we headed over to a couples house from church. They are an older couple, who have waterfront property in port orchard and invited church members- who ever wanted to come- to watch the fireworks and have a BBQ!! Does the fun ever end???
NOOOOO!! WOO-HOO!!!
Being at there house makes me want to live by the water sooo bad. It is just so beautiful and relaxing! I mean just look at this view....
The kids love the water, but they said it was freezing...
Here's a little video...
Here's the view from their house, see that little triangular deck that juts out? We watched the ferries go back and forth, they made the waves a little choppy which is awesome to hear, it sound like one of those relaxation tapes you listen to.
Then we followed a little trail to the water, which is were we had the BBQ...
Sand between your toes anyone???
Here's Moe and me, they were another couple who were there with their teenagers for Jade and Kent to hang out with!
Will you LOOK at that sunset? Does it get any better? See the pinks in the sky reflecting in all the ripples of the water... God's creation is so beautiful!
The Roaring fire... made by Dalton, Moe's son... the call him the Pyro...
Jade roasting marsh mellows for her smores...
Jeromy's hugging me so hard, he's making my left eye look quazzy moto-ish (I know I totally misspelled that but you get it).
Here's a video of some of the fireworks....

We were exhausted when we finally drove home. But can you make out the licence plate on this car... DoJesus.... kinda made my day....

Now onto today. We had church this morning, and it was great. Our pastor is going to Sudan Tuesday for 3 weeks to do Missions work, he's been going there for a few years now. He is an amazing pastor, but he gives all the glory to God!

After church our friends the Crawfords invited us over for an early dinner and to hang out. They live way out where Jeromy used to live past Belfair/Tahuya area, or some where around there. We had a great time.

There son, Dalton (Pyro) who's almost 17 showed Kent how to chop wood- ok Kent watched him and saw how it was done. He showed Kent how to build a fire (we had BBQ-ed steak, YUMMY) with just a single match. And he showed Kent how to shoot a BB gun. They also played basketball. And all four kids played badminton. Wow, Kent had alot of "dude" stuff to learn today, it's good for him tho, I tend to baby him some.

So that's the end of our fabulous 3 day weekend. If you haven't got enough and haven't seen my blog in a couple of days, scroll down and you can check out Aurora's awesome 10th birthday party!!

Later gators!
