Yup... it's been awhile...

I think I able to down load pictures now. My mom helped me delete some old files from here.

So where did I leave off... I finished with the Whaling Days run but now we'll continue with the Whaling Days Parade pictures... Here we are after our walk/run right on the side walk waiting for things to start... which was just minutes after the race...
This group walking in the parade was awesome, I think they were boy scouts, and they were holding large pictures of young men who have lost their lives in the war- all from Washington state.... what was really great is that all the people on either side of the street stood up as they passed....

Then this huge whale came by... it was a huge float up in the air...

So you know we just did our run... and they were throwing cheap candy at us... well one group actually thru chocolate.... I thought it deserved a picture before I gobbled it up....
Joanne stayed for the parade, but she forgot her visor... so she was happy when they passed out these Statue of Liberty "visors"
Some unicyclists- they're always cool to see...
Kent sporting his visor, too...
Here's the whaling days shirt Kent's wearing that we all got...
Then a little later that same day, we had a potluck at Laura's with friends from church. Kent was so tired from his run and the heat that he crashed while reading...
Poor baby, looks like he got a little too much sun on his nose...
Hannah and Jade...
Hannah and I...
We had a potluck BBQ at the park right next to Laura's house...
When we left, the sun was setting, check out these gorgeous sunsets...
And here's what Jeromy is really excited about, our chickens first egg....
As of today we have 4 eggs...
Here's yesterday with all the kids.... Jade, Alex, Tae, Megan, Nadia, Beriah... and we have Aurora, too!!!
And a video of the awesome slip and side Laura let us borrow cause all the stores ( walmart, target, sears, costco) were sold out of any water pools...LAME!!

So that's all for now. Stay cool out there!

So much stuff....

So little time...

Let's see... I have pictures for...

(1) VBS- Vacation Bible School

(2) Pictures at port orchard water front "concerts by the bay".

(3) Coffee and dinner with the Trigg's

(4) Whaling Days run and Parade.

(5) BBQ at Laura's with our church family.

(6) Our chicken lays it's first egg and Jeromy is ecstatic!!

Ok, so first we have VBS. It was all last week, and Jeromy made sure he had his schedule clear (at least until the afternoon in some cases) so he could be there for VBS. He was actually one of the teachers, for the ages 9-11. Jade and Kent were his assistants in the class. Cousin Laura had ages 4-5 I think it was. Here's some random shots of the weeks adventures...

Here's Julia and Jade...

Laura and Beriah...

Children of the VBS....

Jade and Ashton...

Here's Tessa, myself, Jeromy and Jade.... the adults and the teens all showed up an hour early everyday to help set up for that day's events for the kids.

Jade and Kent outside helping supervise a scavenger hunt for the kids...The kids listening to one of the teachers explain the rules of a game...On friday, the last day, I stayed the whole time (since I work nights I wasn't as involved as Jeromy and the kids) but I was able to see Jeromy and Kent in a skit they did for the parents and kids. Jeromy was Abraham, and Kent was his son Isaac. They did great.Next I have pictures of "Concerts by the bay", where Port Orchard waterfront has bands play, and our church has it's trailer set up with free water and coffee for people and maybe some enlightened conversation... isn't he cute....Next I have a couple pictures with the Triggs'... we went for coffee-unless-you-were-under-13-you-got-hot chocolate!!Then Jeromy wanted steak for dinner... that's how we roll. The kids were cool with that! And NOW, we have the Whaling Days run and parade!!! I think this is my 4th or 5th time doing this run. We missed you Misty and kids, but I hope your ankle is feeling better, make sure to not over use it!!! Here was our group of runners/walkers... Kent, myself, Joanne (Jeromy's step-mom) Kyle, my mom, Hannah and Philip from church, Jade & Megan from church.

But not picture was my co-worker Regie! Here is Kyle, myself and Regie, we 3 ran the 4 miles...Here's the 6 kids that ran/walked... Kyle was the only kids who did the 4 miles and he smoked it! He ran 4 miles in 24 minutes and a couple seconds! He's amazing! I kept telling him that. I finally asked if he was getting tired of me saying that and he said ya, then he put his hand behind his ear and said "one more time", he cracks me up! He also won 3rd place in his age division...WOW!Here's 3 generations of runners/walkers, this is my mom's first race!! Woo-hoo mom so glad you came out with us! That number should go in your scrapbook ya know!!!Here's the girls in the family of the group... Jade, Cindy, Katie and Joanne.... Our family... who's that guy with the crazy cowboy hat???My super cute kiddos... Kent and Jade... Kent ran the one mile, while Jade walked the one mile with her grandma and Joanne...Some candid shots of everyone standing around waiting for the starting time...Jeromy was so sweet, he was waiting at the finish line for me. He's take a picture then run way ahead of me and then take another picture. Here's the 2 he took....Jeromy didn't run cause he's been having issues with his knees... lame. Poor guy cause I know he'd love to be out there running too! I didn't do my best time. But I ran the 4 miles in 43 minutes 35 seconds which averages to a 10 minute 51 second mile. Ideally I like to do a mile under 10 minutes so I was kinda close. But we had a great time!

Ok, so I still have pictures of the Parade, the BBQ at Laura's and our first chicken egg, BUT our computer is saying I have reached my quota for uploading pictures. What ever, I know I've up loaded more than this before, so I guess this is where I'll have to stop. I'll try to blog the rest of the fun events tomorrow!!!

Try and stay cool our there this week!

An amazing day...

We had a great time at our Whaling Days run this morning and watching the parade right after.

I love the sun, love running in the sun, but it does zap my energy like it does everyone else. When we got home I took about a 2 hour nap. I was wiped out. But the run felt great, my legs didn't hurt at all thanks to my new shoes.

Then later this after noon we headed over to a park by Laura's house with some other people from church and had a great BBQ.

But all these pictures and more will have to wait till tomorrow cause I am...

TIIIIRRRRRED!!!!

RUNNING!!!

Just finished running 3 miles outside this morning.

Getting ready to do the "Whaling Days" run this Saturday morning woo-hoo!

It's not too late for people who still want to sign up. You can even sign up the morning of the race for a couple dollars more.

Jeromy and the kids are at the Vacation Bible School this morning and all week, I think Jeromy is in charge of a certain age group, and Jade and Kent and some other teenagers are getting kids signed in at the front door. They have it all decorated inside, and all the kids get a hat, it's pretty cool!! On friday they are putting on a skit for the kids, I think I will go that day cause Jeromy and Jade have a part in the play.

More pictures later....

Hello out there!

OK, I started out my day waking up at 6am to run on my treadmil, I finally was mentally prepared to get on the machine a little after 6:30am, but I did 3 miles at 5.0 mph- thanks to my new shoes (up from my 4.5 that I have been training at all year), so I was pretty happy about that.

Then we had a pretty amazing breakfast. And then headed to church. Our pastor Kevin is still in Africa for one more week and then he'll be back home. We miss him, he is a great biblical preacher.

Now.... you really going to think I'm crazy but we have a couple other kids over, too. I mean if you have 8 what's 2 more right??? We really are having alot of fun this summer. We got the pictures to prove it!!

Ok, to be funny, cause you know I like to be funny... here's a before picture...
And after....
Here's every one's cup, there are 12 but we ended up with only 10 kids (including my own)... We have Jade, Kent, Austin, Tessa, Hannah (not Laura's baby), Philip, Tae, Nadia, Shane & Alex.... and Jeromy hahahaha!!! Just kidding sweetie- I couldn't do this with out you, seriously!!!

Here's Shane and Alex.... this is Shane's first time spending the night at our house woo-hoo!!!This is one of my favorite things to see kids do.... being creative and drawing/coloring...Here's Shane and Alex's artwork... Here's a close up of Alex's drawing, he drew looking into our living room with Shane standing in the middle of the room... Michelle.... I think you have a budding artist- actually all the kids have talent....Here's Nadia's drawings...And Laura, you'll like this... Tae drew a picture of you and her...While I was making dinner, Jeromy played cards with some of the kids...Now this is something me and my brother Nick would do when we were little, we would make menus up and make the food our family would choose on it. I remember this being so fun, that I thought the kids might have fun with getting to choose some of their dinner choices... they got to pick what kind of bread and vegetable they wanted...We were having ground turkey with spaghetti sauce and these really cool swirly noodles that all the kids said they liked...And this bread we got at Costco, it is so delicious! We love both the garlic and the whole grain breads, they come 2 in a pack for under $5!!! The kids loved that, too! These girls love them some raspberries... I know how that is!If you're wondering how I keep my sanity mom... I have a cup of coffee in my cozy made with love....After all the kitchen was put back together, we were going to make cookies again. Jeromy requested SnickerDoodles... well of course we can do that! Nadia was the only one who wanted to help make cookies! We missed you Beriah making cookies. But it was nice having Nadia mix the dough and rolling the balls in the sugar/Cinnamon mixture!!!There was enough for everyone to have 3 cookies, 2 tonight and one tomorrow after breakfast...Then we thought it would be good for the kids to burn off some energy... outside... the kids were kind enough to pose for a picture... here they are in height order, not necessarily age order... Kent, Austin, Philip, Hannah, Jade, Tessa, Tae, Nadia, Shane & Alex... a bunch of awesome, hyper, crazy, sweet, loud kids! Here's a video of them attacking Jeromy... he loves it...

Here they are playing a game, Jeromy's in the back ground keeping an eye on them while he works at his lap top... I knew that thing would come in handy!!

Anyway, they are starting to get into the ice-cream... gotta go get the kiddos rounded up for bed... pray for us :o)
