The latest...

So yesterday was family day in the shipyard. They have it every 4 years or so. So I was going to bring Jeromy and our kids. But Jeromy wasn't able to go cause he was going to one of Aurora's 4H events at the Pierce County Fair. Aurora shows goats. And.... drum roll... she won FIRST place AGAIN!!! She shows her goat "Dot" at several fairs a year and always wins first place in at least one of them year. Jeromy didn't take his camera but he did take these pictures with his cell phone... here's Aurora's goat "Dot"...

So, you may remember that I mentioned David, who died suddenly in a motorcycle accident. Well, I thought it would be good for his kids if they could come to the family day at the shipyard to remember where their dad worked. I talked to their mom and she said they would love it. This was all talked about a few weeks ago because I had to add their names to a list by a certain date. It all worked out though. I was able to go to the security office in the shipyard and explain the situation (you're only allowed to bring in family members). And they made an exception. I was able to bring Jesse and Sanna and their mom Becky! She's been having a rough time with trying to finalize everything that a sudden unexpected death brings. I really feel for her. Here we all are: Becky, Sanna, Jesse, Kent, me and Jade.

We walked around the shipyard for 4 hours. I was able to show the kids where their dad would always sit and a shop picture he was in. I was also able to show my kids my work area with my locker plastered with pictures of my them all over it!

So that made for a long day... buuuut- Jeromy's work was also having their annual family BBQ... on the same day people!!! So after we got back home, Becky and her kids left. Then Jeromy got home after leaving Aurora's event. Then the 4 of us headed to Jeromy's work party. It was at one of the guys houses. Which was nice cause he lived just a few minutes away from us. Jade took a couple of her pictures with her cell phone.... Jeromy is in yellow playing some kinds of game with 3 other guys...
