Happy New Year!!!!

Happy New Year People!!!
2010!

Yesterday, the last day of 2009, we went to visit Maranda and her new baby Natalie, she was born on December 27th so she was still so new and sooo tiny!
She weighed exactly 8 pounds at birth, and had only lost a couple of ounces... Here's my baby holding Maranda's baby...
Laura holding the tiny little baby Natalie...
It was also Christy and her family's last day to visit. Christy is a girl I went to high school with. Small world! When we started going to the church we go to now, Christy's husband was an assistant pastor at our church. And they moved shortly after we started going because he was going to be the senior pastor at his own church in Sandy Valley, Nevada. I got a quick picture of Christy and I. God is a miracle worker when you consider where we've come from back in those high school days to where we are now!
Now it was time to get ready for our New Years Eve Par-tay!

The Trig family was coming over to celebrate with us! But before we got going, Ashton needed a ride around in the box- thanks Jeromy!
Then I started cutting up some yummy food, Ashton had to taste-test the watermelon for us...

After dinner, we munched on raspberries, strawberries, watermelon, peppers (thanks mom!), cookies, rolls with butter, pringles, cheese and crackers, and of course sparkling cider at midnight! Then we played a board game, kids played video games, hung out and visited... we had Kyle with us, too- woo-hoo!!!Looks Jeromy got into the sparkly cider a little too soon....Then all the kids worked on drawing a poster for 2010...The older boys even drew some after the girls cleared out.... Kyle drew, too...At midnight, we all cheered with our cups of sparkly cider! I also thought it was pretty cool, that all of us, adult down to age 4, got in a circle and just thanks God for the past year and how He's blessed us, and how we're going to lean on Him in the new year to come. That might sound kinda cheesy to some, but it was amazing hearing the kids thanking God, and knowing we have Him to thank for everything we have.

Then some of us braved the cold to see some of the fireworks that were going off down by the water....

We also noticed it was a full moon, or at least it looked like a full moon...

Most of us were in bed asleep between 2-3AM!

We woke up about 9AM, and Michelle made this delicious breakfast, she calls it "Happy Cake", I think to encourage her kids to eat it. But it was so yummy, it had fresh ground wheat, blueberries, cranberries I think they were, granola and other yummy stuff! Then shortly after breakfast, Laura stopped by to pick Kyle up and surprised us with donuts and orange juice- thanks!

Every one's gone home now, we're just straightening up, I'm going to start taking down Christmas decorations, and pretty much make a really lazy day out of today! Ya know, I only have 3 more days till I go back to work, so I gotta mentally prepare for it by totally relaxing and not exerting myself, right? Right?

Well, have a great first day of the New Year of 2010 today! And just remember: Jade graduates this year!!

But most importantly, thank God for all he's done in your life and all He continues to do!

God Bless!
