Katie's Corner: Are we there yet?

It's so good to be home. We had a great time, but it is always good to be home. I am exhausted, and very happy to have one more night off before going to work tomorrow afternoon.

Okay there are alot of pictures and videos to get thru... and I have a feeling I may only get thru a small percentage cause I am TIRED, and cause there are almost 100 pictures and several videos, and I know you all want to see them all (maybe), but- I am tired. I am making a "Spring Break 2009" mini scrapbook so all the memories will be in one place.

Ok, so first, remember the cookies my mom made?? Well, Jeromy said it turned our vacation up a notch cause they were so good and perfect for the drive down there...

Here we are driving up...

Finally made it, there are the kids in the upper balcony checking things out while Jeromy and I got us checked in...We were ready to swim...

Every minute or so this huge bucket of water would fill up and then tip over, it was sooo much water, some little ones got taken out by it if they weren't ready for it...

ok, first injury, Jeromy's ok, just part of the edging of the inner tubes kinda scraped his chest...

I also bought an under water camera, so I got a lot more pictures of the water park on that.

By the end of the first night Jeromy and I were so tired we couldn't even hold our heads up...

Kids were pretty worn out, too...

We all did some bible reading each morning, here's Jade loving to read...

They had an amazing breakfast bar... at one of the stations they actually had a chef making omelette's how ever you wanted them...
They had Starbucks.... Jade said that was one of her favorite times- when she and I went off together to get our coffee/hot chocolate, is she the sweetest girl or what, I say!!

Jade's second favorite thing, getting to order an hour of Zelda game playing in our room.... Kent said his favorite thing was spending time with the family... awesome kids!!!

This was kinda cool, the best thing about this water park, is that even if it is cold and raining like in this picture of Jeromy looking out a window, the water park temp. is in the 80's...

So after we left, we actually drove down to Oregon, it was kinda lame, we had planned to go to the Portland, Oregon Zoo, but the weather didn't cooperate. And I wanted to go to the ocean. So we headed back up to Washington, and hit a little detour....

I have to say, this store was pretty amazing, makes me want to go camping, for more than one day even.... maybe..

We finally made it to the ocean, here's Jeromy and Kent checking out our killer view...

Then we had some dinner at our hotel facing the ocean and watched the sun set as we ate... isn't she beautiful????

Kinda dark at this point to go walking to the ocean, but the pool was open 24 hours, so off we go...Can you believe our hotel had a TV in the bathroom?? Who uses a TV in the bathroom??? (We did)After our dinner, we had ordered dessert to go, here's Jade enjoying her snicker doodle cheesecake, we shared that...

Then we all crashed after watching some sponge bob... then we woke up and had room service bring us up some breakfast, that was pretty cool...It was kinda drizzly out but I got a couple ocean pictures...One more stop on the way home...

Now we're headed home, and on the way home, Jade started feeling worse and worse, we figured she had gotten some water blocked in her ear cause that girl can make some wax, and this has happened to her before, so I was able to call ahead, and GHC had a cancellation at 3pm so we were able to drive right into town and get in her in..... 2 hours late we were leaving and I WAS NOT a happy camper. But I am done complaining about how they run that place... anyway, they cleaned Jade's ears out and she's feeling better...I just have to say, at one point the nurse forgot about us, and I had to go and get her... wow... I am so glad I am a Christian now, things would have been handled alot (worse) differently if I wasn't. Jeromy prayed with me and then sent me on my way to the sticker store for my scrapbooking.... I feel better now...All those are spring vacation/ family vacation type stickers and one of them actually says "caution, mom with camera"!!
