Massive errands.

We have some errands to run today. My list of stuff to do...

Got my "GU"- a whole box of it. This stuff is great Christy! It's not an energy drink, I don't like those. It: helps maintain higher glucose levels longer with the carbohydrate formula, also maximizes muscle recovery with amino acids, fights free radicals with antioxidants, reduces inflammation with chamomile and soothes the stomach with ginger. And there is a little bit of caffiene in the tri-berry flavor I got. But it never bothers my stomach!

These are so convenient to use...

Also "X-ing" off my training list as I go. And I'm putting a star at the end of the week if I did all 6 days of training just to help myself stay motivated...And last but not least, I wanted to say Jeromy got a new job. He's been hired as a tech at Sunrise Pest Management. Here he is holding his official job offer letter. He goes in Monday for some finalizing paper work, set up pay stuff, ect, then he officially starts Tuesday! This is right up his alley, too, cause he had already done quite a bit of research before on pests when he was looking into home inspections. The employer was impressed with Jeromy's knowledge. He has also started studying their materials to get licensed in the state of Washington. So yay for him!!Gotta go ready for work. We have a crazily busy weekend coming up. But don't you worry I'll be taking pictures of everything. But I probably won't be able to blog it all until Sunday night if I'm not too exhausted! Have a great day!

Almost 2 weeks in...

To this Half Marathon training and it's getting tiring. I knew it would so I got to keep the excitement up. I still have over 10 weeks to go!!!! Just finished 4 miles today. And it not that it's hard... yet... it's that I get bored. So I'm constantly battling my mind telling me it's tired and wants to get off the treadmil, then I argue back- you're not tired you're just bored so suck it up and keep running! So any runners/walkers out there with some "endurance" advice???? Can't wait till it gets warm outside then I can run out doors which will be really motivating instead of on my treadmil watching the dreary rain. Have a great dry day out there. BYE!!

A day in the life of a mom...

Got up, took Jade to her doctor appt for ear pain and massive earwax build up. It took them over an hour with all their tools to dislodge both Jade's ears of all that wax, she's a regular wax factory. She has a really hard time hearing and after dislodging those "chunks" she has supersonic hearing, she actually said everything is sooo loud. And the good news is there was no ear infections behind the wax like the doctors were thinking cause of her pain. ****************************** After the doctor, Jade and I went home and did our hour cardio workout. Woo-hoo! Then we both jumped in the showers and then I had to run her off to OC, while dropping her off, I picked Kent up from his class (Jeromy had dropped him off hours earlier on his way to chopping wood). ************************************ Apon getting home, Kent made his lunch and I ate a delicious pear.... yah... that was a really good pear... and we talked about his Europe trip coming up this summer, he has another meeting this saturday. *************************** Then Jeromy got home and now he's out mowing the lawn cause it really needed it. First mowing of the season. I really like to mow the lawn but I just don't have time. I am heading off to work. Hopefully just putting in a 8 hour shift. ******************************** Then my day will end about midnight at work. I consider those 8 hours still being a mom cause I'm constantly thinking about my kids, calling them every few hours or so to check in and the only reason I'm at this job is to support them and all they do. ******************************** Not too exciting of a "mom day" but it's mine, and I love seeing the people I love everyday. Also loving that sunshine out side.. and how tight my abs are feeling after that kick-butt work out LOL Have a great family filled day.

Lots of stuff.

We had alot going on this weekend. It started out with our second fun run of 2011. It was the Dolphin Dash- Formerly known as the Submarine Anniversary Run- held at Bangor Base.

It was pretty exciting cause our cousins Laura and Kyle were coming and also our teen friends, from church, Phillip and Hannah. I wish some of the Trig kids could have come like Tessa, Julia, Austin, Tae, Nadia and Beriah... we sure do miss you guys! I LOVE RUNNING!! Here we all are with our numbers proudly placed on our shirts...

My awesome cousin Laura and I...

Jade, Laura and I had all recently gotten new running shoes...

Can you believe all 7 of us placed either 1st, 2nd or 3rd place in our age divisions???? I swear we were not the only runners there! LOL! There was a 1 mile, 5K and 10K. The picture is kinda blurry but you can see we all got a ribbon woo-hoo!!

For the 1 mile: Phillip won 1st place and Kent won 2nd place in their age divisions for boys. Hannah won 1st place and Jade won 2nd place in their age division for girls.

For the 5K: Laura won 2nd place and I won 3rd place in the 30-39 age division for women.

For the 10K: Kyle won 1st place in his age division for boys.
My kiddos with their big red ribbons for second place YAY!!

Then Saturday night we had our family fellowship with the Cooler Schoolers. Didn't get any pictures tho... but that pizza was REALLY good! It was kind of a bummer cause I got called into work. It was supposed to be for a 12 hour shift, but then after 2 and a half hours they realized they weren't ready for what they needed us for yet, so I was able to go home. Kind of a bummer cause it cut right into my visiting time, but it was nice that I didn't have to work all night and was able to get some sleep.

But I did get this really cute picture of Aurora and her dad...And a picture of one of my favorite trees starting to bloom in the back yard...

On the way home from church I noticed another area of beautiful trees, this picture doesn't do it justice. God is a master artist....Also after church we were going to be celebrating Jeromy's birthday. He's turning 33, but not till the 18th, but since we had Aurora this weekend, we are celebrating today. My parents were going to meet us at the Outback for lunch. We were all craving the bloomin' onion. So when we pulled into the completely empty parking lot we were totally bummed out! They didn't open till 3pm and it was 12:30 and we were starving! So Famous Dave's was choice number 2.
After lunch we headed back to our house for some cake. Jeromy likes that coconut pecan frosting, but none of the rest of us do so Jade frosted it half and half. Turns out my dad also likes the coconut frosting, too! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY FABULOUS HUSBAND!!!My mom also made Jeromy some homemade chocolate chip cookies- a new recipe she had. Can you tell Jeromy was having fun getting his picture taken a million times??? Those cookies were really good mom, they were growin' on me, I really like the chewy-ness of them! And of course all the chocolate chips! I noticed Aurora and Jade were wearing mismatched vibrant socks again, had to take a picture! And one of the 5 of us....And lastly, here is me and my 5-head (forehead so big it's a 5-head) and my cool half marathon shirt I got last year in Seattle. It says " Half marathon I like it because it's shorter and I'm lazy like that". I thought it was so funny when I first saw it cause there's nothing lazy about a half marathon!

First week of training is done and successfully completed. Tomorrow starts week #2 which is the same as the first week:

Monday: 4 miles

Tuesday: Cardio

Wednesday: 4 miles

Thursday: 4 miles

Friday: Cardio

Saturday: 4 miles

Sunday: Blessed rest

Week #3 starts in with more mileage-as for now I am excited!!!

Cousin Kyle Yo!

Our favorites cousin Kyle is over today to stay the night.

Kyle had a Famous Dave's gift card and wanted to go, so I gave Jade and Kent some money and they all headed out to dinner... on foot- and what a nice day for it.

I'm always wanting to take Kyle's picture when he's here, but he usually doesn't like it, but he actually came over with not one- but two cameras! And he said he'd take pictures while they were out and about! He took this one of Jade and Kent walking... we live pretty close to everything in town...

Famous Dave's...Tryin' some BBQ sauces...Jade loves her ribs...Kent likes them, too! Kyle's a little shaky on the camera but I'm still happy he took pictures!Grubbin' food I'd say....Then they were off to the mall. They said they checked out video games, clothes and books... and ice cream!

How'd that get in there? Goofy kids!!

Yummy!

How cool is that, 3 cousins hangin' out around town, I love it! They are all such great kids. And while they were gone, Jeromy and I had about 3-4 hours to ourselves to just relax at home- yes I'm taking another sick day. I am feeling alot better, and after having the weekend off I'm sure I'll be ready for Monday. As long as the government doesn't shut down... but I've been told by management that we are on a "deferred list" what ever that means, but that there might be a lapse in paychecks but we will get paid. Weird.

Anyway, the other reason Kyle is staying the night is cause we are doing the "Submarine Anniversary Run" at Bangor tomorrow morning! There's a one mile, 5K (3 miles) and 10K(6 miles)! Jeromy won't be able to go cause he's picking up Aurora tomorrow morning. But Laura's coming to run and she's also bringing Phillip and Hannah to run (not Laura's baby Hannah). So there will be a group of us woohoo! So more pictures to come! And tomorrow night is our fellowship for church. Good thing I had Thursday and Friday cause I do feel rested up! We are also celebrating Jeromy's B-day Sunday cause we won't have Aurora on his official B-day on the 18th, and I think he's wanting Outback and German chocolate cake- so lots of pictures to come! Take care!

Sick day- but not a rest day!

Jeromy and the kids all came down with that cold that's been going around. Well, I like to say that I'm a "carrier" cause I never seem to get sick like they do. Well, this time I'm not so lucky. I got it :o( it's not a killer cold... not yet anyway, and believe it or not I'm still able to do my training!

And now I'm really motivated cause my cousin Laura just told me she signed up for the half marathon, too! Her amazing son, Kyle, is also doing it! That is sooo coooool! So even tho I'm feeling kinda crummy, I'm not letting this cold stop me, so I did do my 4 miles today. But, I am taking a sick day from work cause I do need to rest, you understand :o)

Jeromy and Kent washing my car- sweet!

I also got these new glass Tupperware containers. I heard alot of people saying how plastic, when used in the microwave can leach toxins into your food, so I've been wanting to try them...

They are so stinkin' cute.... I also wanted them to be freezer safe which these are- and microwave and dishwasher safe!

The reason I wanted freezer safe is cause I wanted to make my yummy dinner and freeze some if to take to work for dinners. You know the one I'm talking about... don't want you to miss any of those yummy ingredients: yellow, red and orange peppers, onions, artichoke hearts, ground turkey, scrambled eggs, brown rice (cause it's all for me) and of course teriyaki soy sauce.Dividing up the portions....

Into the cute containers....

Yay- 4 dinners just waiting for me.And of course some for me tonight. I know it looks like alot of food, and it is. It's a 9 point dinner for weight watchers, which is on the high end I think, but so worth it. And it's all good food, and home made, what do you think of that mom!!! Man, every single bite of this is delicious....I like sick days.... just not the part about being sick! Take care!
