Super Family Saturday!

Jeromy and I have planning all week to make this saturday for family only. We are so busy with work, school, holiday parties, activities, kids registering for next quarter, setting up orthodontist appt., regular dental check up, training for work... I could go on and on but I think you get the point. Soooooo, we were dedicated to making this saturday just a day to relax and fun with just the 5 of us.
Jeromy got Aurora this morning, here she is putting her special ornaments on the tree made by Grandma Cindy- who's also making that cool Christmas stocking.
Can you tell this daddy loves his girl or what???We then went out to lunch at Fiesta- love Mexican dontcha know!
Then we ran to Costco and Target to get some things we needed. We got a new dice game, and a puzzle of "The last supper". A couple of new movies...And the new Josh Grobin Christmas CD, he has an amazing voice...
I wanted do something fun and creative today, and it turns out that none of the kids had ever made a ginger bread house before. I knew Costco had a bajillion on display, so we went. Can you believe they only had 5 left??? So we grabbed 2.
Got the houses out- they were actually already partially assembles. We decided next year we would get graham crackers and real frosting and some candies to make our own. But this was a good first try for us. Kent and I putting one of the trees together with the glue/frosting..All 3 of them hard at work being amazingly creative. Aurora said she likes the "details" of things...Jade and Aurora....One of our trees. There was even shredded coconut to look like snow...Jade's house...

Sometimes less isn't more.... ok... maybe it is in this case LOL --don't judge me!I almost had to force Jeromy to decorate with us. But once he started, he was getting creative. Mixing the white and green frosting to make a light green cause he said he didn't have enough colors. I'm lucky I even got him to smile in this picture. Here's the kids with their master pieces...A close up of Aurora's cool house- look at all that snow!

Memories. You're smart to have family days where you concentrate on each other and not everyone/everything else.
