Saturday we had Jeromy's mom's memorial service, held at Jeromy's grandpa's church's banquet hall... that was a mouth full.
Jeromy and his uncle setting up. I wasn't sure if a camera was appropriate in this kind of setting. But everyone else had their cameras out, so I got mine out of the car.
It wasn't our weekend to have Aurora, but her mom let us have her for the day to be a part of the memorial. Our 3 kids...
Poor Kent... it was finals week ya know. But he's always tired- just like his mom!
After the memorial, we dropped off Aurora, then I dropped off Jeromy and the kids, then I went to my friends house, who is also named Teresa. It's her son, Trevor's, 3rd birthday party. It seems we only see each once a year at his birthdays. It's been that way for the last 3 years anyway. Here's her son Trevor... he moved so fast I barely could get a picture of him, at one point he came up to me and said "cheese" it was perfect but I wasn't ready for it. So I just snapped the picture regardless of what setting it was on and it turned out kinda blurry oh well!
The place was packed. Jeromy's mom, Teresa, had a ton of family and friends. It was a very nice service. Jeromy gave an opening prayer and a closing prayer. He also spoke half way thru, with his brother and aunt. Jeromy was able to talk about the love of Jesus, and how none of us never know when out last heart beat will be, and to not waste time and to love each other with the time we have.
Jeromy's mom loved to sing and did alot of karaoke thru out the years. While cleaning out her apartment, they came across CD of some of her songs. Jeromy made mass copies and they were played thru out the ceremony. One song Teresa sang was picked by her sister Tammy, and she sang along with her sister in the song. There were some tears while she did that.
I think alot of the adults were having a second childhood putting his new toys together.
