Well, everyone was busing working. Kid's digging. Jeromy out in the front yard cleaning and raking up old leaves and brush. Me inside doing another load of laundry started.
And here's where Plan A became Plan B. I heard LOUD banging on the front door. Jeromy knows I hate when he pounds real loud cause it startles me. So I opened the door already irritated and he yells "I've been stung by a bee!" So he came in. He found the sting relief rub-on stuff he has. He said he was raking and he hit an underground bees nest. Lame! He didn't know it until he felt a sting on his hand thru his glove. Then he looked down and saw some more bees on his sleeve. So he ran in. While checking out his bee sting and trying to calm him down, I noticed there was a bee on my sleeve! He brought a bee in with him and it stung me thru my sweatshirt. So then I started freaking out.
So here's the picture.... Jeromy's trying to protect his hand I'm dancing around saying "Get it off! Get it off!". He gets it off, but not before it stings me... but the bee is still flying around, and we don't know how many more hitched a ride on him into the house. Cause he said he saw a few on his arm! So it's flying around, and he's trying to smack it while I'm freaking out. Meanwhile the kids are all unaware out side digging away.
So he got stung in his thumb and me on my forearm...
Stupid bee. I think my coat protected me from the worst of the sting. It stung pretty bad but I've been stung alot worse before. Turns out it was the only bee that got in the house, but we were a little on edge for awhile...After we calmed down, he went out and told the kids to come in. Even tho the hive was in the front yard and they were in the back, he didn't want to take a chance on them getting stung. Kent is particularly fearful of bees. This little episode wasn't going to help. He said he didn't even want to be in the house, I told him he was alot safer IN side than OUT side!
So, so much for doing yard work for today. I think we are going to go out to Fiesta for dinner. Plan B is good.
