Ok, I'm sure it could, but this is pretty good!
One of the recipes Jade made a while back for her food science class was this yummy oatmeal waffle recipe. We all loved them except Jade cause they had bananas in them- and she hates bananas!
So I have been wanting to make them for a while now, and Jeromy has been wanting to eat them for a while as well!
I got up early this morning to take Jade and Kent to school.
Got a load of laundry going and then started breakfast.
This breakfast is so healthy, the batter is 100% whole oatmeal, a banana, small amount of milk, water, salt and olive oil, and that's it! I have to confess... we've had that cookbook for I don't know how long... I thought I'd look in the front cover to see which kid it belonged to, or how old it is... and Misty.... it said Denny Lee Q. on the front inside cover, and it said he was one year old.... OH MY GOSH, how long have I had this book??? I don't even know, you must of lent it to us a long time ago... and I forgot, so I gotta get it back to you cause I know Mason loves to cook, and for Kelsey, too! Ummm, it has a really yummy oatmeal recipe in it LOL!
The other thing I like about it, is that all the ingredients go in a blender and get mixed up and then you have the perfect container to pour into the waffle iron!
Jeromy has also switched to 100% maple syrup, cause we heard that corn syrup can be really hard on the stomach, and he doesn't need that. Plus it's just more natural and healthier and he likes the taste better! Look at that yummy oatmeal banana waffle... this is also one of those foods that make the whole house smell so good!
Is your mouth watering yet??
There's one happy camper....
We also had a couple Trig kids over who said they tasted really yummy!
Well, that's all for breakfast!
Going to finish up the laundry and actually get it all folded and put away! We'll see how that goes!!
