OUCH!!! ---- but worth it!!

Can you see the blisters on my hand?Well, we were pretty busy today.... or should I say ACTIVE!! It was so busy in fact, that I had to ask my boss for the night off cause I just couldn't fit 8 hours of shipyard work into my schedule. My boss was pretty cool, he said to go ahead and take it!

So anyway, after dropping Jade and Kent off at school, Jeromy and I headed back to the duplex to finish the last bit of cleaning. Actually first we hit Home Depot, and my spiced chai! He bought 5 new window blinds to install, while he did that I started steam cleaning the carpets with the new machine! It was amazing! I CANNOT believe how much "gunk" it sucked up, it was disgusting and wonderful all at the same time, you know what I mean? I couldn't wait to do our carpets at home, that's where calling my boss came into play. I can't believe I asked for the night off to steam clean my carpets, but I did! My mom would be so proud!

Anyway, after the duplex we had to do a dump run of all the stuff at the apartment. Then we picked up the kids and went to our Off-Campus Appointment (homeschooling) for Jade. The plan is she's going to be a part time student at the high school, taking the classes I can't really teach, like German 2, and she wants to take an art class (well I could teach that). And Kent said he might be interested in being a part time student, too! I'm so excited cause I wanted them both to be home schooled again, and this is the first step. So they both may be part time students next year, and if that happens, I might stay on swing shift... we'll see...

Anyway, while we were out we discovered "Emerald City Smoothie" ....yuummmm! Jeromy tried to take a picture of all 4 of us drinking our yummy drinks, well, he got himself and I, part of Jade, and the top of Kent's head hahaha
Then we came home, and I wanted to mow the lawn, or more likely my neighbors wanted me to mow the lawn.... but I actually enjoy doing it, it's the ONLY yard work I like to do, and Jeromy doesn't care for it so it works out. Can you see my kids out there????How about now? They look so scared out there in the wild woods...Now it looks like a park again. The kids, myself, and the neighbors are all happy...

Okay, what's next? Well, I made yummy tuna fish for Jeromy's dinner tonight cause somebody had to go to work tonight :o( Anyway, I sent him off with the last of the banana bread, saving a piece for me of course...While I was out mowing I had my cell phone on the back bumper of Jeromy's van, and that's where it was when he drove off to go to work. Well, when I realized that, I called him from the house phone and he was just getting out of the van, and he looked and there it still was! Can you believe it?

So now I was ready to steam clean our carpets. Well, we were low on carpet soap, so I headed out again- starting to get tired now. Ran to Target got the soap, and pizza and came home. The kids were so great to volunteer (cause I said so) to help me empty out the living room....Supposed to vacuum before you steam clean, so that's also Kent's chore so while he vacuumed, Jade read her book on the newly relocated couch....And now the finished product! All I have to do is wait for the carpet to dry, it looks great!!Just in case you didn't feel my pain the first time, here's another look at my blisters....Hahaha, I crack my self up. No one else may be laughing but I am :o)

And last but not least.... my mom took this picture of Jeromy and I just love it, and HIM!!Good night!
