Turtle daze

So Kent wanted to clean out Dynamite's (our turtle) cage before he left and buy her some new stuff for her home. Here's Kent and Dynamite....Dynamite's going to hang out in this box for a bit while Kent does his magic...Jeromy carried the cage outside and dumped out all the old bark... can you see him out there? Here's Kent cleaning her cage, doing a nice job....Instead of buying her a new home, Jeromy said he's cut a larger hole in her pre-existing home to save money...here he is out in the garage cutting a larger hole, shaking his head at me while I'm taking the picture....Here's Kent putting her in her newly cleaned surroundings...That turtle is FAST!! As soon as she landed in that water she jumped out of the glass ditch and took off..She took off to her home, that she can now fit better thru, Kent bought her the new bridge into her water dish, new bark, and the moss.

NICE JOB KENTON!!!

Sunday part 2...

This is the second post of the day... the weather finally cooled off enough that the kids and Jeromy went out side and played a little catch...
And this last one is of Kent going for the ball, but you can see that Jade has it in her mitt...good night!

HOT HOT HOT

We went to church this morning back at Abundant Life Four Square church. We're possibly looking for a new church. We like both churches but we want something in between the 2. But it was nice seeing old friends, and the kids had a nice time.

The message today was about not dramatically changing your life so much as to just fine tune some of the small things you know God would want you to change. A great message with what Jeromy and I trying to work out.

After church, we went to Red Robin, probably not the greatest idea filling up on fried food on this hot day, and to feed 4 adult appetites, for over $50, doesn't make the food sit very well. But it was still nice.

I got some sun out there today. Not too much, I was out for less than an hour, gotta play it safe when it's SOO HOT! Don't want to burn. It felt great though.

And now we're staring to get the kids packed for California next Tuesday.

Hope everyone stays cool out there.

Baseball, a baby shower & dinner at the park

With weather like this how can the day be anything but FABULOUS!!

Well, we had alot of fun things going on today. Jeromy went to Aurora's baseball game in Tacoma early this morning.Isn't she adorable? Here she is helping the pitcher out (she's in coach-pitch)....Here she is taking a swing....Aurora has a little sister Blanca who was on the same team. Cute girls!!While Jeromy was at the game, I was getting the cake and balloons for Misty's baby shower. I also made a pit stop to Emerald City Smoothie and Old Navy. I had a pretty fun morning myself. Then I headed to my mom's for the shower... Misty got alot of cool baby stuff! Almost makes me want to have a baby girl. But I already have my baby girl...So don't worry Jeromy! But I sure do love all that baby stuff!
Here's Cindy, Jade, Misty, Katie & Ashley....Here are all the guests in the middle of a serious game...

Meanwhile, Jeromy had to work some OT (overtime) in the shipyard. He's working from 3pm to 1 in the morning tonight. And only seeing him a few minutes this morning just isn't enough! SO I thought the kids and I could meet him at the gate and bring him dinner tonight. He had already bought some sandwich meat earlier today so that was perfect on a hot day like this!!

The new park right outside the main gate is great, they have little ponds with shooting water every few minutes, there were alot of kids playing in the water, including Jade and Kent! I wish I had brought my camera. It was great seeing Jeromy for a little bit. I heard a rumor tomorrow is supposed to be just as hot, I hope it's true!

B - E - A - UTIFUL!!

What a beautiful day out there. I love the sun.

Ran some errands today. Then had 3 hours of training in the shipyard, then I was able to take the rest of the day off. I layed out in the back yard, than ran some more errands, getting ready for the baby shower tomorrow. And then I drove by the silverdale water front park, walked out to the very edge of the dock and layed down. It was so peaceful and relaxing (except for the cursing teenagers) but the water was so pretty, and the dock was slightly moving with the current, so with closing my eyes I felt like I was floating down stream.... wish I had my camera for how pretty it was out there.
Here's a couple more scrapbook pages... Kent's 14th birthday...

And Aurora's 9th birthday....Also one of those bids Jeromy was working on went pretty well. Jeromy quoted almost $3,000.oo. Which included some heavy duty hardware and several hours of work. And the guy excepted. He wants his barn doors replaced where it's busted...And then the whole barn painted...So there's quite a bit of work to do. Jeromy estimated about a week to do it all, weather permitting. And the guy wants to start July 7th, so while the kids are gone, I'll be helping him during the day time, then we go to work in the evenings. So yah, we'll be tired that week, but we'll be that much closer to Jeromy getting out of the shipyard.

Anyway, did I say what a gorgeous day it was???

Time is ticking...

My kids fly to California Tuesday next week, and I feel like the time is ticking away too fast. They'll be gone the whole month of July, I think that's too long. Well, hopefully the month of July will fly by fast, too, so they'll be back home again.

Here's Kenton as of 5 minutes ago...

And Jade, too... my sweet little teenagers! When the kids get back, we'll be getting ready to celebrate Jade's 16th birthday! WOW!!

Here's Jeromy, hard at work, writing up an estimate for a job he looked at a couple days ago. And I'm just writing this blog and about to head out to work....

Nothing too exciting today. Till tomorrow...

What day is it??

I went to bed last night (Monday night) at one in the morning, and we got up this morning (Tuesday) at 7am....

I was helping Jeromy on one of his SATCAHR jobs. We headed to home depot first. Then we went to the customers house at 9am. She wanted a brand new sink installed in her kitchen. So we did it, well Jeromy did it, and I handed him stuff. Then I went to my moms for strawberry waffles :o) but Jeromy was off to Tacoma for 2 more estimates (potential jobs) Then we each went to work.
But last night a did a few more pages so here ya go... Here's Violet's first birthday in May...

Then this is when Jade went with me to Seattle for the Women's in Trades event the shipyard was a sponsor to....Here's a 2 page spread of Jeromy's new business SATCAHR....And then mother's day...

Kinda hard see it, but you get the idea. Now I gotta go to bed cause I'm TIRED!!!! And I think I'm entering Wednesday.....

GOOD MORNING OUT THERE!!

My kids are at my mom's right now. So Jeromy and I just got to sleep in to when ever we woke up. Which was 7am for him, 8am for me. When I woke up I made us breakfast, and then Jeromy went to work on his van. He got metal screens to install to the inside of the windows, to make it harder to brake into since he has alot of tools in there......Here's what the screens look like...While he did that I ran to the Scrap book Zone to get a few more supplies...
And went to town scrap booking.... this is when Jade was in the paper...This is the submarine 5K run we did with Laura's family at Bangor....And this is Jeromy's 30th birthday last April....I was making our lunch/dinner/ scrap booking and noticed Jeromy doing something sweet....Is that guy the greatest or what? Can you tell I love him? Yahh, it's pretty obvious! Well, now I gotta get ready for work! OH, and Jeromy got another lead on a job, so he has an appt tomorrow at noon with someone who wants a partial fence built, I think he said... we'll see. Have a great day!

bad start but good finish

I woke up this morning pretty much feeling like crap. I think suffering from my allergies so bad yesterday really knocked me out. I felt so bad that I didn't make it to church which I haven't missed in several months. But Jeromy and the kids made it. I loaded up with my vitamins and some Motrin, and tried to relax most of the morning.

When they got back from church I finally started feeling more alive. My mom came and got the kids for a couple more days to spend time with them before they leave, then it was just Jeromy and I again. And I thought to myself..... "Self? What would make you happy right now?" And I thought scrap booking is what I needed to do to make my self feel better. So Jeromy and I ran a few errands, like picking up a bunch of pictures I had developed, and then going to Michael's for some supplies, and then we stopped at Emerald City Smoothie again, and I got their drink that supposed to rejuvenate you, full of anti-oxidants and vitamin C. And lots of fruit-YUM!
So then we came home and I started organizing my stuff. Here's rows of my pictures by month and event...

And here's the first page a finished today. It's of Savannah's 5th birthday, which was in March, you can see how far back I am!And here's Jeromy vegging on the couch, yep, we're both in our PJ's right now for the rest of the night.

Today's word: EXHAUSTED!!

Jeromy and I were going to help his parents at their lake property by helping put in some plumbing work. More like Jeromy was going to do it, and we all were assisting him! There was alot of physical labor to do, not my favorite thing. But we all got in there and worked hard. There was Jeromy and I, his dad and step- mom, she had her 2 sisters there and one had her husband there, too. My allergies were working hard, too! I was literally blowing my nose every 10 minutes and sneezing like a crazy person.

Anyway enough complaining... for now. Here's some pictures of the work being done... here's Jeromy's van we're getting ready to unload...

There was a huge trench dug, and we first had to go thru and pick up all the large rocks....The guys also were setting up some posts, which had to be cemented into place...Here's Jeromy laying the new pipe. They had one outlet for an RV, and they wanted there to be 3 outlets for all the sisters. (That's Jeromy's step-mom Joanne, and his 2 aunts Sharon and Diane). Here's Jeromy and his dad digging up something heavy.More digging...Here's Jeromy wandering up the hill, more camp sites for tents up there....And here's the lake...After we finished, we headed back home, which was almost a 2 hour drive. We stopped at albertsons to pick up some BBQ stuff and headed to my parents to pick up the kids and for a quick BBQ. Thanks mom and dad, it was great.

We also saw alot of the baby shower preparations going down. Misty you're going to freak out, I was freaking out and it's not even my kid!

Well, I have a layer of dirt on me, and I am exhausted, mostly from fighting these horrible allergies, they can take alot out of ya. I need to shower then to zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
