Sick Kenton, snow, and one step closer to painting

Kenton wasn't feeling very good last night, he even took a long nap, and then was up half the night and couldn't sleep, poor baby. So he stayed home from school today, first day that he has missed.

While he was sleeping on the couch last night, Jeromy took some video of him snoring on the couch...

Here are the kids today, Kent looks better but he is still feeling feverish, and he is napping now again. Gotta make sure he doesn't sleep too long so he can sleep tonight.
And more snow?? Pretty cool, I just wish it would either snow another foot so I could stay home from work, or be sunny, not this little tease of snow that I have to go to work in... it sure is pretty tho...
Here's some video of the snow, it is soo pretty...
Jeromy also did alot more work last night on prepping Aurora's room for painting this weekend. He got everything off the walls, puttied up some small holes, and took shelving out of the closets. And he also got everything taped off, and removed her bedroom door cause it's kinda tight right there, and ready to go.
We went to Home Depot, LOVE that store, and got the paint colors she had picked out. We also ended up getting some tinted primer for each color, cost a little more but for these dark colors I'm sure we'll be glad we got the primer....
So now I am trying to drag myself onto the treadmil, I'm just not feeling it. Seeing that snow, just makes me want to grab a book and lay in bed under the covers all toasty warm and read the afternoon away...
Nope, looks like it is the torture of 40 minutes on the treadmil and then out into the blustery cold to work. Well, I do have my latte to look forward to, it could be worse :O)
Have a great day!

Fabulous Sunday

!!WARNING!! Talk of God in this blog, so please DO read, and cool pictures, too!!
Well we had church this morning, and the topic was family. It was so great to hear how God wants us to be as a family, it was so great to have the kids hear it, too. Where the kids are to respect and obey their parents, what parent doesn't want that? So many people out there wonder why their kids are out of control or why they are having problems in their marriage's... well are you doing it God's way... or your own way?

I tell ya, if I just had done it God's way from the beginning I would have saved my self ALOT of struggles and suffering in my life... but I am on the right track now and it feels so good!

After church we had a pot luck over at Laura's with a couple other families to talk about homeschooling. Well, I do it part time now, but all these mothers do it full time, and there are so many ways to home school so we were all getting together to share ideas, and it was awesome, did you know if you home school there is a program out there that gives you $1200.00 per child, per year, on curriculum you want to buy?? I didn't know that! So much information!

Anyways I should throw some pictures in before you get too bored reading this... or are you totally enthralled and could read my ramblings forever... no? OK here's some pictures...

Remember there was a baby in the midst so she's in alot of the photos... Jade and Hannah...
Jade and Hannah again...Jeromy and Hannah...
One of the families had 3 kids, here's their 19 year old Stephanie and Hannah...
Here's a picture of the guys... Stephanie's brothers I think they are 15 and 16? And Kent and Kyle and then Shane who kept saying "I'm surrounded by teenagers!!"
Here's Shane again with kids more his age, but I can't remember their names woops! But sweet kids non the less!
Here's Hannah trying to get some greens, she knows what's good for her...

And here's a really cool video of all the teenagers playing card games. All these kids are home schooled. I can't say enough about homeschooling and the benefits of raising kids this way. There is sooo much garbage out there in schools now, I don't think anyone can deny that. I am so thankful we can do this. Next school year it looks like we are going full time!!

It's just great to know these are a group of teens that don't talk about sex, drugs, lying, how much they hate their parents etc... who doesn't want that???

Well we had a great lunch, and I got alot of info about homeschooling.

Then Jeromy went off to a prison ministry that he wanted to try out. It is where a group of men from different churches get together and go to the prison and talk to men who want to know more about God and how to get their lives right. We all know I love this man, but how noble a cause is that? And what an awesome opportunity to talk to men who may have no one else to talk to, or family or friends to help them?? Jeromy may think I brag about him too much but I can't help it!

Anyway while Jeromy was at that, we went back to church for the evening service at 6pm. I know what you're thinking .... too much church. But the video tonight was called "Decision, decisions" and it was great.
I wish I could show it to people at work. It was so powerful, they even had a little clip of what happened to Jesus when he was crucified which is not what I expected to see, but how can anyway watch that and now be brought to tears by what Jesus did for us? I was crying. I can't help it. I sinned so much in my life, and still sin- yet Jesus died on the cross for me anyway...
Well if I haven't lost ya yet here's a couple more pictures of the kids and I tonight getting ready for bed... my adorable kids .....
Wow, I tease my kids about being "pasty white kids", but I'm thinking I'm looking pretty pasty myself.... man I am ready for summer!!
OK, time to call it a night~
Love you all, but Jesus most of all!
Just made that rhyme up, I know you're impressed!!!

Pretty fun saturday!!!

This morning Jeromy #3 (my husband) and another Jeremy #2 from church met up and did some evangelising in Tacoma. They had a good time talking to a variety of people. There is also a Jeremy #1 at church. Of course I know my Jeromy is #1, but the third Jeromy at this church, at one service, the pastor even said "I hear we have a Jeromy 3 now!"

While he was gone, Jade went to hang out with her friend Brianna. So it was just Kent and I for a while. We went and got Dynamite some of her turtle food, and got some other stuff, too.

Then it was time to go get Kyle! Kent was wanting to spend the night and hang out with Kyle, and then I got a phone call from Kyle wanting to spend the night! Perfect! So we went to get Kyle, and then to go pick Jade up. We thought we'd go bowling, and Jade's friend Brianna and her little sister Brooke wanted to go. So we had 5 kids and it was ALOT of fun.

So here's our fun bowling pictures... my sweet little girl Jade Lorraine.....
Here's Jade, her friend Brianna and her little sister Brooke who is 8, and a total sweetie...
The extremely happily married couple...
I can't believe we got this much junk food, it wasn't even that good...The guys: Kent, Jeromy & Kyle...Here's some action shots of the bowlers, I love that our camera's have video... here's Jade...

Here's a video of Kenton...

And of Jeromy, he has a pretty impressive bowling move...

Can you believe we ordered more food? We were hungry...

Here's the score board... some of the kids have funny nick-names....And what is the last thing you do as you're leaving the bowling alley???

HAND SANITIZE!!!

Here's the kiddos: Jade, Kent, Kyle, Brianna & Brooke, what a bunch of great kids!!

And these were just some random funny pictures I snapped of all the kids while driving the girls home....
So then we stopped and got a movie, and stopped at the store for everyone to get a treat. Kyle had brought his guitar over and he played a song that Jade and Kent knew the words to. Get ready all you Beatles fans....

Wow! What a fun day. And we are tired!! Good night!

Finally friday

Kinda sleepy today.

Just a few quick pictures from yesterday. Kent had his Honor's Society meeting yesterday, and the kids worked on coloring posters for a news paper drive for the humane society. Kent brought a couple home that he colored. He's such a cutie...
Here's a close up, it's so weird to see my sweet little boy's face turning into a man's face. He is so handsome, can you tell I love him?
I gotta drag myself onto my treadmill, it has been 2 days now, today will make 3 if I don't get on it, and I AM getting on it, right after I pick Kent up at noon...NO EXCUSES!!!

Later!

Another busy wednesday...

This morning started out bright and early at the court house. We had a small claims hearing from one of Jeromy's tenants that didn't pay their rent. This all happened last year around Sept. and the earliest court date they had was today. Well, I won't bore you with too many details, but the defendants didn't show up, and the judge ruled in our favor, and they have to pay all the late fees, attorneys fees (that we had to pay), and all the court filing fees (that we payed), there delinquent electric bill (that we payed)... of course now we play the waiting game to see if they'll pay now that a judge ordered them to.... I'm not holding my breath...

Well, more fun stuff... we tore down the wall paper in Aurora's room today... here's what the wall paper looked like...

We had this tool that puts a ton of little holes into the wall paper so when we put on the DIF cleaning solution it gets behind the wall paper and makes it a little easier to pull the paper off. Jeromy's going to town!!!

And now tare down...

look at all that gluey mess...
I was helping Jeromy, too, I just had to take pictures....
Still a little more cleaning and scraping to do, but no more ugly wall paper, and one step closer to painting!

Now Kent has his Honor's society meeting this afternoon, and then I have to take Jade to a 1:20 doctors appt, she is still having stomach aches, and we need to get to the bottom of it! Find out why!!

And then I'm off to work. Jade also has sylvan tonight, but Jeromy takes her to that... thanks Jeromy!

Hopefully tomorrow will be a little less exciting, I need to have time to run on my treadmil!!

Have a good one.

Cookies for my sugar baby

I got a text yesterday from Jade at school asking if I'd make cookies. Well I just had recently bought nestles chocolate chips to make cookies as the need arises... and it did.

But yesterday when I started making the cookies I realized I didn't have the right kind of butter, and not enough time to go to the store and get to work.... so my poor baby had to wait till today.
So first thing this morning Jade and I ran to Safeway and got butter and a couple of other things, can never go to the store for just one thing.
Mixing up the batter...
COOKIES!!!

Now my sugar baby is happy. With warm out of the oven cookies.

Have a great day!

Looking like spring out there...

This was Jeromy and I last sunday, he said I was looking cute and he wanted a picture of both of us. How sweet, so I didn't argue. Kenton on the other hand who is PAINFULLY honest said something to me also. I thought he said I looked "awesome" but what he said was "exhausted" I was shocked!! I said I just did 3 miles, had showered, my hair was all clean, my husband said I looked great, so I asked Kent "how did I look exhausted?" That was a mistake to ask him, he said my face, my eyes and my hair... well he's 14, and he doesn't know what he's talking about, but I love him anyway. Nothing keeps your ego in check like an honest 14 year old... I can laugh about it now... sniff sniff...

Anyway, yesterday Jeromy and Kent played catch in the back yard. Actually the "side" yard...Here's a couple SHORT videos of the guys...

So today, I did my 3 miles again. I think I've reached one of those dreaded plateaus. Where I eat perfectly, exercise like a crazy person (ok not quite) but the scale doesn't budge... kinda frustrating, makes me want to eat a donut.

Anyway, I finally took some outside pictures of the yard that Jeromy has been working on. These pictures don't do it justice. He cleaned out so much of the mushy ugly brush that was all over the yard. I can't wait till spring when things start to bloom and the gaps get filled in...

Here's Jeromy getting ready to head out on a job this afternoon. I think he said he's working with a guy to do a little remodeling of his closet by removing some sheet rock to make it more accessible. Bye-bye cutie...

See you all later...
