A Tragedy

Truly a tragedy. I have not really been able to figure out how to comment on what happened with those 28 souls. 20 children, 6 adults at the school, the shooter's mother and the shooter....

The focus seems to be on gun control- either for or against. I personally don't like guns, that's just me. But people should have the right to defend themselves. We don't need new laws. We already have a perfectly good one we should follow:

THOU SHALT NOT MURDER.

And of course a few decades ago society took the Ten Commandments out of schools and public buildings. So, when society has asked God to leave they now want to know where He is when tragedy strikes. He is not a genie to give us what we think we want. Sometimes He does allow us exactly what we asked for... Separation from Him.
For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man— Romans 1:20-23
