LOOK WHO'S HOME!

Jade is back visiting for a little while! Look how cute she is- look how happy Kent and I are to see her! Actually something extremely funny just happened and we are in the middle of cracking up- but we are still so excited to have her home for a while!
She got back just in time to help my dad celebrate his 70th birthday! Can't believe he's 70! I guess 70 is the new 50 for how active he is!
 All the party people...
 Misty and me...
Some family and friends chillin' with dad. Jeromy did the BBQing so dad could visit...
I got a pick of Kimmy and I, we weren't sure if she was going to make it- so it was good to see you Kimmy! We missed you Laura :o(
A bunch of the girls in our family. Back row: Misty, Katie, Haylee. Front row: Ann, Kelsey, Cindy and Jade....
Here we are again. Jade, me, Misty, Kelsey, Lee, Ann- Lee's oldest daughter, and her daughter Haylee.
HAPPY 70TH BIRTHDAY DAD!!!!

Working too much- against my will...

Stuff...

So I have been feeling kinda blah since Jade has left. She's living with her dad in California for a while. But since she's been gone, I've kind of been slacking in the exercise department. It's been 3 whole weeks since I have run... I haven't gone that long with out running in a few years. Time to get back into it people! No more crying--- love that song "Ain't no sun shine when she's gone....", I think my mom has it on her ipad!

Anyway, so I drug myself to the gym today and did a nice easy 2 mile run... it felt great! I went slower than normal cause I do not want to injure myself. After a few weeks of not running your muscles decrease significantly with the mileage they can handle. But there's also this thing called "muscle memory", so I should be able to quickly regain what I have lost.

Anyway, it's time for the girls to get dressed cause they got a surprise today... how cute are they?
All dressed up, Aurora picked out her rainbow butterfly material and I made the skirt, Jade's doll is wearing the cute green dress she made from before, and my doll is wearing her super cool back to school out fit, she's gotta wear shades cause she's awesome like that.
So my auntie Sharon was getting rid of her American girl dresser cause it's too big for what she wanted and my cousin Kimmy told her I may want it, and I did! How cool is that? Thanks Sharon- and thanks Kimmy for thinking of me!
The girls couldn't wait to check it out! (Somebody help me lol!)
Look- a drawer for each girl- they love it!
Wow- calm down there girls! (I crack myself up!)
 Yay- they love it!

Do the Puyallup!

And we did! Actually we were going cause Aurora was in yet another fair showing her goat for 4H. We got there just before she was ready to show and got a couple of scones (of course!) and some coffee. Those scones are so good!
Then we found Aurora! She had her sister (who was also showing a goat) her little brother, her mom, step-dad, uncle, cousin, grandma and grandpa and great-grandpa... then Jeromy and I all cheering her on! Lots of people love that girl! Look how cute she is!
There were so many goats. I started having a little bit of a reaction- there are so many farm animals. The fur is just in all the air. I actually started to lose my voice, that was weird! But look at this cute little baby goat!
Here's Aurora in line with a bunch of other intermediate kids. Their age group was so big that they had to brake them up into 2 groups.... makes for a long time  :o)   but it was worth it to see Aurora!
She's so cute! Jeromy got this funny one of her as she was turning around.
After words, Jeromy and I went off and did our own thing. Kent was staying over night with his cousin Kyle. This was the first time I've ever been to the fair with no kids! Jeromy and I were the kids! So I really wanted to go on the Extreme Scream! I've never been on it and I found out that Jeromy had also never been on it. So that's what we did! Here it is. It's 20 stories tall- 200 feet!!!! You can see the people seated at the bottom then it just rocket blasts to the top! Sooooo faaaaaaast! So fast in fact that I had to shut my eyes! Then it kinda bounces mid way and creeps all the way up to the top, waits a few seconds then just dive bombs straight down! So cool.
Having fun!
We had alot of fair food, scones (2 different times) ice-cream, cookies, cashews and this plate of yummy shredded chicken over rice!
We had enough tickets to go on this roller coaster. I thought this sign was funny. Since I have neck issues... I was a little nervous but I did it anyway!
Here we are heading up the first steep incline...
We walked around almost all the attractions. Jeromy got some real honey inside a real honey combe! I did try a little bite but I couldn't get out of my head that real bees were crawling all over that combe. Jeromy is also wearing his new lanyard he got for work for his badge... it's Mator.... from the Cars movie!
 We had a great time!

Look who I found at the airport!

Kent is finally home after a month long visit with his dad in California!
Oh my goodness, I can't get over that beard, I would love for him to shave his face, but he really likes it... he is 18 I guess.... trying to convince him to shave it for a Christmas present for me, or for my birthday or even Mother's day... anything! His ears are disappearing underneath all that hair.
At least I can give him a hair cut- he's not resisting that... yet... now I can see his ears again.
So nice to have him home. He has 4 days left before fall quarter of college starts...

Over the Narrows!

Last Saturday, I ran in the "Over the Narrow" run, it was 10 miles that went over the Narrows and back. Here we are bright and early heading over to the start line...
 Getting ready...
My sleepy guy... he wanted to sleep in but he got up and went with me bright and early...
And we are off.... can you tell I'm excited to run- look at that smile... yeah, there's something wrong with me LOL
Me and my medal, driving home for a much needed shower. I ran the 10 miles in 1:41:32, about 40 seconds slower than last year- oh well!
