The Past weeks events....

So earlier in the week....

For one of Jade's Early Childhood education classes, they were having a party on the last day of school. And Jade volunteered to make lumpia.... say WHHAAAAT???? I don't know how to make lumpia! Jade knew her grandma Claire knew how to make it so they made a date the day before the party and Claire came over and showed Jade how to make it! Thank you Claire- cause I would have been no help! After they made the lumpia Grandma Claire took Jade and Kent out to lunch!
Jade and Grandma Claire....

Later.... Jade was on her own one night for dinner and I just told her to make what ever she wanted. And what does a sophisticated girl do in the 21st century? She goes on line and orders a personal pan pizza with her own money- that's what she does!

Ahhhh, our great friends the Cooler Schoolers, we love them!

Now onto Saturday.... We were going to Jeromy's Aunt Tammy's 50th birthday party. And the family had rented out a venue at the Puyallup Fairgrounds that had everything country in it. It was a country themed birthday party and the invitation said to dress up! Well, I will first tell you that I am in NO WAY a country girl, always hated country music and pretty much everything country (don't judge). (My mom used to hate country, but some how my dad swayed her to the dark side- but that's another story- lol I crack my self up! ) On the other hand my sweet husband LOVES it. I guess opposites really do attract... I cannot tell you how happy he was to dig out his old wrangler jeans (gross), huge belt buckle (really?), boots ( seriously???) and hat (I'm done) that he has not worn in the 5 years we have been together.... cause I can't stand it. But now he had a reason to wear it. I just asked him to please put it back in what ever box he dug it out of when we got back home (please don't judge lol).

We had alot of fun tho. I said I was NOT going to dress up, but then I did a little to make my husband happy. And he was happy! They had alot of cool real relics from olden times. We had the girls pretend to fight in front of this poster... can you make it out??? It says: Notice- unattended and unruly children shall be sold into slavery.

He's looking pretty cute- even for a cowboy- that's saying alot coming from me...Here the pose' is being rounded up to "catch" Tammy for the "Two cake reward". Jeromy was one of the guys selected, so he was sworn in with the others, given a badge, a (fake) gun and when the guys where told to raise their right hands Jeromy raised his left hand on accident so that's Jade you hear cracking up in the back ground. They also gave the guys names from Bonanza: Little Jo, Hoss, and Jeromy was Lucas- funny!

After Tammy was rounded up she spoke for a bit. After the applause she said she felt like she won an Oscar but she actually got a Frank- that's her husband! She also sang one Karaoke song. She said she was always too shy and would never sing in public like this, but she said she's 50 now and nothing to be afraid of, she also sang the song her sister Teresa always wanted her to sing. Teresa is Tammy's sister and Jeromy's mom, who passed away one year ago in November.

Jade checking out the little fake gun...

ADORABLE!!!

Here's kind of a view of the area... everything country! Some of the memorabilia was kinda interesting... there's Aurora, Jade and Jeromy in the front center...

Jeromy and his Grandpa John...
Our sweet girls, I love how much they get along!

The 2 guys on the left in hats and the guy on the far right are all Jeromy's uncles and Tammy's brothers....

Jeromy and I.... way out of my element... but doing it for my husband!

Jade and Aurora behind bars...

Jeromy and his aunt Tammy.

Later on tonight..... Felt like pancakes and sausage for dinner...
Here's Aurora's with a couple of chocolate chips in hers, she doesn't like butter or syrup (crazy) so we had to add something to sweeten them up! Jade and Aurora are peppering themselves with some "Bah Humbug Away"!Here's a close up of the "Bah Humbug Away"! Jade and Kent made these years ago in one of their homeschooling classes and I just loved them. They are just regular salt and pepper shakers filled with jingle bells, sparkles, and glittering things and of course red and green confetti.Earlier tonight Jeromy and I were in our room and the girls knocked on the door and asked if they could come in and when I said yes, they both ran in and started sprinkling Jeromy with it! He was starting to get grumpy cause he was tired so I told the girls he needed more, sprinkle MORE- so he knew he had to cheer up for them to quit- cracking me up!

Alright... I know it's been a week since I last blogged, but it's just that time of year... this next week will be even more crazy- but I'm looking forward to everyday of it! My kids leave in a week for California to spend Christmas and New Years with their dad :o( But I know they will have fun!

Good night!

You have lots of pictures with your posts - I love it! You must be tired with such a busy life. Dad and I are just laid back and relaxed most of the time. We like that at our age. I suppose it's all natural. Love, Mom
