Saturday... my ONE day off!!

Here's what our Saturday looks like...

Here's Kent working on his math... I say "math" but his class is actually called "Pre-calculus and intro to trigonometry"... my little genius!
Here's a close up of Kent's math book... I love math but this stuff gives me a headache...

Love this Japanese Maple in the front yard. This picture doesn't do it justice. It is a fiery orange that just pops out against all the green... so pretty...

We were having our Family Fellowship tonight with friends from church. I missed the last one cause I had to work, but I had off Saturday, and it was at our house so I'm glad I could be there! The theme was Mexican. Jade was making spicy turkey wraps and I was making the sides to make a taco salad...Yummy food... there's Jade cooking away...Jade made chocolate chip cookies and they were soooo goooood, Jeromy and I had "a few" even before people showed up...

Jade made her spicy ground turkey wraps! Here's the mixture... ground turkey, a shredded onion, tons of spicy spices, and brown rice all mixed together... sooo good...

Then she spreads it into the tortillas and sprinkles with cheese (of course some made with out cheese for Jade and Jeromy) then rolls them up and cut in half... they all were eaten...
Jeromy loves the kiddos... he even went out and bought special toys for them to play with cause we don't really have any little kid toys. I secretly think he just wanted to play with the Lincoln logs himself, and to built with the foam blocks!

Love these people... This video is funny. At one point the little boy Liam, who is 2, got hurt and started crying, which made his little 8 month old brother Ewan start crying, which made 4 year old Hannah start crying... then Maranda- who's an adult had to joint the crying... too funny!

Now onto Sunday. We are heading into church. Jeromy and I are teaching the 6-8 year olds in Sunday school. Jade assists with the 3-5 year olds in Sunday school and Kent makes the recorded copies for the teachers (us) who miss the service- we are all working today!

Then I'm going to try to squeeze in a nap this afternoon before I work a 12 hour shift. Have a great fall day!
