hangin' in there..

Not much happening. Staying home from work cause I'm feeling a bit under the weather. That's about it.

Actually we did get a couple things done today. We got Kent's birth certificate in the mail from South Carolina, cause I need a certified copy to get his passport and all I had was a 'copy' of the certified copy. So anyway we were able to get get his passport paper work finished and mailed in. They said it should take about 4 weeks to get.

Also in other news... my car has been acting weird. So we brought it to the dealership (I know that's more expensive than just some car place- but I know they'll do a good job). So anyway, along with the maintenance schedule at about 90,000 miles- mind you I have had none of the previous 4 scheduled maintenance's done... is $495.00. But I also need front and rear brakes cause they said it's metal to metal- that would explain the burning smell. There's something wrong with the solenoid- I have been having some check engine lights. A grinding when I turn sharply at slow speeds and alot of other minor problems. Like my battery is about done. Sooo, when they call with the grand total... with that schedule maintenance it came to over $2200. I about passed out. I was like "is my car just falling apart?". The guy said no, but it will run like brand new after all the maintenance is done. He also said they would throw in some coupons and a free latte... wow.

Well, we are going to do it. It's a bummer cause that's money that I'm trying to save towards Kent's Europe trip this summer. But at least my car will run like new, it's only a 2005, and I have been kind of worried about it lately.
