Aurora, baby chicks, ice crystals, family fellowship, note to Tessa & potluck b-day party.

OK, that's alot to get thru, so here goes...

We had Aurora this weekend! And Jeromy thought he needed some new baby chicks. So we went to Farmland, and Aurora picked out 4- YES 4!- new baby chicks.

Their little "cheep cheeps" were so cute. Here's Aurora checking them out...
She was so happy, she loves animals...
Jeromy LOVES the baby chicks...
Jade really likes them, too...
Jeromy named his Trighead (cause he misses the Trigs), Jade named hers Little foot, Aurora named hers KFC, and Kent's is Rockefeller...

I even held one of them, they are cute when they are little...They kept going underneath each other for warmth popping the top one off the pile, it was funny to watch...

Then during all the cold weather we have been having, some ice crystals were formed in the back yard here. I actually just saw pictures of them on the news the other day and I had never seen them before. I can't exactly remember what the official name they were called but it was something like ice crystals... right out of the ground...

Family Fellowship was at Tonya's house this Saturday. And the theme was Mexican. The devotional Jeromy gave was on not being afraid to get out there and speak about Jesus and what He's done for us. You never know how long we have to live and at some point we will all stand before God.Jade sharing with Natalie...Hannah and Bella..Kent and Natalie trying to play peek-a-boo...Mom and Jade...I have a message for Tessa, so if you know her- tell her to read this!

Hey Tessa, Jeromy and I miss you and your family so much! I actually had a dream about you the other night, you all came over and you came running to hug me! We think about you guys all the time. You can always come over any time as long as it's ok with your mom. Love and miss you, Katie

So then Sunday after church we had a potluck birthday to go to on Jeromy's side of the family. Celebrating 7 birthdays I think it was for January and February birthday.

The kids' table...Our kids: Jade, Aurora and Kenton...Jacob and Katelyn turned 4 this month...Watching the kids open presents...More watching...More birthday people, Jeromy's dad and myself. There was also Redd, Diane and Cameron...

And lastly, I leave you with these little chick pictures...

I told him to not get the chickens too close to his face- bird disease ya know... and this is what I catch him doing! But don't worry he didn't kiss it... at least I didn't see him do it!They are pretty cute aren't they??

Anyone else notice how cold it is out there? Especially walking to your car at 2 am from work by the water.... can anyone say "face freeeeze"?

Not much going on but alot of working. We have some fun things planned this weekend, but I just got to get thru tonight... one more day!

Got my 3 mile run in this afternoon, that's always good.

Have a great Friday... at least it's sunny out!

Slow and Steady...

At weight watchers, Jade and I have- together- lost 25 pounds even. It's starting to slow down, but as long as it continues to go down that is good!

Not quite a 3 day weekend.

I worked Saturday night, but still having Sunday and Monday off is nice.

I have taken some pictures of Kent's drawings for his Drawing 101 class... remember this one he started??

Here it is finished...

Here's his finished hand...

Some other charcoal drawings he's done...The serious face of an artist...
Here's the latest drawing he's in the middle of working on. It's a picture his teacher has picked out. It's on his lap top so this is the picture his teacher sent...

And here's Kent's version- in process...Other stuff... here's a bird house Aurora was making at Sunday school. One of the guys there made these cool bird houses for the kids and then had all these neat looking rocks and stones for them to decorate their bird houses with...I also got my valentine present in the mail the other day. It is a trivet with our picture on it! Jeromy knows I love pictures! It can also be hung on the wall as a decoration which is what I think I'm going to do with it! Thanks Jeromy! So today we were trying to do some fun family activity. So we thought bowling. Well, we went to go eat at the bowling alley cause they have pretty good food. Well, on the way to the restaurant I started feeling nauseous. LAME! Then my head started hurting :o( I did get a picture of the kids at the restaurant...So thru out the meal, I was getting (now this hard to believe) whinier and whinier! Jeromy finally said to the kids "How do you guys feel about having a baby brother or sister?" Jade's face went immediately red and flushed. And Kent said it would be weird but cool. And I said "I AM NOT PREGNANT!" Jeromy is such a kidder. Jade really believed it for about 5 seconds. But all kidding aside I did not feel up to bowling. Felt like I needed the porcelain bowl to upchuck... sorry so graphic :o)

So I felt bad for ruining our family fun activity. So as we were leaving, both kids started salivating as we passed the arcade area. So Jeromy went with them so they could play a game while I sat in the car...

We were also invited to dinner tonight by our good friends the Schoolers. So I hope I start feeling better. Can't pass up homemade potato salad!

Enjoy the rest of the day.

Some more misc. stuff and things

Wow, already Wednesday... how time flys.

Well, late Sunday night, we got a call that Jeromy's grandma passed away, I think she was about 88 years old. She lived a long full life, but it is still sad. Especially since Jeromy's grandpa just lost his daughter a few months ago (Jeromy's mom) and to now lose his wife... the funeral is this Friday.

Going to totally switch gears here, but had some misc pictures from over the weekend. Kent working on another drawing assignment. The teacher said he had to take a picture of either his foot or his hand then draw it in charcoals. Kent wanted to fold his hand kinda weird to make the picture have more detail. Here's the picture we took and printed for him to draw...

His printed copy...Getting started...Doesn't he just look like the focused artist???We also had Phillip with us over the weekend. His parents were out of the state going to an older daughter's wedding, but Phillip has school. He's almost 18, but I still thought he shouldn't be alone for so long so we grabbed him for the weekend (with his parents permission of course), I don't think he minded. He's pretty studious as well, here he's doing some homework. This past Saturday was also our Family Fellowship Potluck at our house with friends from church. We had some yummy food...Red Velvet cupcakes (thanks Costco)...Got this idea from my sister Misty: baked beans with big chunks of onion and little smokies... it was pretty tasty...You've heard of Jack-in-the-box, how about Nat-in-the-box? As in Natalie- isn't she adorable??There's Jade, Aurora and Hannah (not Smith) munching on some grubbin' food...Both Hannah and Natalie thought Kent was pretty cool, they sat by him for a while...Juan's friend, Maria, came out and made an appearance. She doesn't have a face yet (eyes or nose). Phillip and Jade are checking them out. The big and little kids just love this!Everyone getting to know each other LOL!Also, last week at work was kinda tough. Most days I think I'm over paid for what I do, but I'm not going to turn it down. But some days, the job is so tough that I think I earned every penny. One of those jobs was last week. It started out by the supervisor asking if we were claustrophobic. That can never be good. The question is kinda rhetorical, meaning too bad if you are cause you're about to climb into a rabbit hole. So ya, that job was probably in my top 10 worst jobs. Oh did I mention it also required wearing a respirator? Lame! Anyway, the next day the day shift supervisor got my self and my co-worker a Starbucks card for coffee cause he knew it was a horrible job. I thought that was pretty nice. They don't have to do that but it's really appreciated...Today Jade and I had weight watchers. So I'm just saying I had 3 potlucks last week, 2 at work and one at home. But over all we still lost a little more. We are now down 24.4 pounds! Jade and I are committed to make this next week a great week!

That's all for now.
