Seattle Harvest Crusade 2010

I didn't realize this concert event was 11 months in the making. It was the last 3 nights in the Key Arena in Seattle. It was a free concert all 3 nights and the Gospel message preached. The main guy hosting the event was named Greg Laurie. I had to work Friday and Saturday nights so I couldn't go.
Jeromy had gone to the work shops the event had sponsored over the last month so he had a special name tag so he could help "assist" in the event. They were having some really popular Christian bands playing so I was excited I was able to go tonight with the kids and Jeromy!
On our way to Seattle the clouds were looking particularly cool... enjoy...
Hey... how'd that cute picture get in there???
See the rainbow? (Taste the rainbow- sorry skittles flash back!)
This one is NOT a plug for McDonald's. (Nasty greasy fried food- why do I eat it????)
Finally made it to Seattle- I know what you're thinking mom " I would NOT want to be driving to Seattle in that traffic at night for nothing". Hahaha. And typically I would agree, but once in a (great) while, it's fun to go do something over there!
Me and J3, you know how I love those squeezed together face pictures, right??
There were several people from our church going. Actually there were over 300 churches represented there- amazing! We saw a few but this places was packed- there were over 13,000 people there, and they had to turn away alot of people. Here's Jade and Simone on the far right with a friend in the middle.
My kids...
When did Kent's head get so much bigger than mine? LOL- turning into a man I guess!
This Arena was a total 360 view. We actually sat behind the main stage, but they had huge screens showing everything, so it was like watching a huge TV live.
In between bands ( I think there were 3... maybe 4), they had a guest speaker. To the left is Greg Laurie (the host) and to his right is a guy named Nick. I think he's in his mid 20's. He's amazing. It's hard to tell in this picture but Nick was born with out any arms or any legs. Let that sink in a minute... I watched a video of him before and he said his mother couldn't even hold him the first few months of his life it was so devastating. He said he tried to commit suicide at age 8. Let that one sink in ... age 8. He said he prayed to God all the time for a miracle to grow him arms and legs while he was young. At age 15, he finally realized God wanted HIM to be the miracle- no arms or legs needed.
Here's another picture of Nick talking. He has such a great sense of humor. He said one time a kid looked at him and said "What happened to you?" And Nick said " cigarettes!". He said another time a young boy was looking at him and he kept looking him up and down, up and down and the kid finally said " Well, at least you got a head!".
A view of the concert...
One of the songs sung (that a word mom?) was called "I can only image". About finally seeing Jesus... makes me tear up every time... please read....
I can only imagine,
What it will be like,
When I walk,
By your side.
I can only imagine,
What my eyes will see,
When your face,
Is before me....
Surrounded by your glory,
What will my heart feel?
Will I dance for you Jesus?
Or in awe of you, be still?
Will I stand in your presence,
Or to my knees will I fall?
Will I sing Hallelujah?
Will I be able to speak at all?
I can only imagine...
At the end of the event, people who wanted, were invited down to the main floor and given free Bibles and had questions answered and prayed over.
It was a great time. God is good!
I also got a new camera...
Peace out home dog (that's for Iana!)
