Getting closer to...

Jade and Jeromy leaving for Mexico this Saturday!

I'm getting more nervous, but excited.

Today I had to go get consent forms notarized at the bank saying she can go cause she's a minor. Then I realized I forgot one of the medical release forms that also needs to be notarized. GGRRRR! So back home then back to the bank. Then I had to find something in my divorce paper work stating I have custody, saying she can go. That paper work has my old name on it, so I also have to make a copy of my marriage certificate showing the name change stating I'm still the same person: parent to Jade. So I think that's all done. Jade turns 18 three days after they get back, just a few more weeks and none of this paper work would have been needed- oh well.

Jade and Jeromy already have their passports, that was done a few months ago phewwww.

Jade also got her fall schedule classes for college picked for late September. She and Kent will be going to OC together. Love that. They are even taking one class together. Kent doesn't know that yet, but Jade is all ready to embarrass him "Kent loves his sister-ME!" is what she's going to say. Ahhh, brotherly/sisterly love. Secretly, I am glad they'll be in class together, and on campus together for Kent's first quarter at OC, he's only 16 years old for cryin' in a bucket!

So today has been a little crazy!

Also took Jade to the doctor yesterday to have her ears cleaned out, she's a regular wax factory. After they flushed her ears she kept telling me to stop yelling, I wasn't. She also asked if there was a fan blowing somewhere- it was the air conditioning unit in the room that she could finally here. So while there, they said she should get her immunizations up to date, I keep putting it off cause I'm too busy. But I thought since she's going to Mexico Saturday it might be the perfect time to get that 10 year booster and other important stuff to keep her safe.

Now off to work. I was just told that they are having a send off potluck Friday night for all the people going to Mexico and their families. So I am going to try to get Friday off. I hope I can go, then I can make sure she has all her final packing stuff together.
