Senior Picture Day....

Today is the day!

Today was Jade's appointment to get her pictures taken for her senior year! We got up early cause the lady who cut her hair Wednesday, said she'd come into work early this morning to wash and style Jade's hair before her other appointments. Here's Jade after styling...

Between the hair appt. and the actual photo shoot we had time to go out to breakfast... just Jade and I...

Mom and daughter... (can you tell I only had 4.5 hours of sleep last night??? Ya, I think ya can. I had to work extra late, but I do have tonight off!)

And now off to the pictures! We went to Nelsen's Photographic Design. I think they are fabulous! I actually had my senior pictures done thru them in 1993, and they have come along way!

Jade didn't want to wear any makeup, but she did wear some cover up to hide the acne. Michelle- the wife half of the husband and wife team does make up for who ever wants it. So here's Jade in the chair JUST getting foundation on. Jade's so funny, she said "So this is what I'll look like when my skin is all cleared up!"The next 2 hours was the most fun we've had in a long time. These guys did a great job! And as you know today was a gorgeous day, so half her pictures were outside and the other half indoors. The Nelsen's made it so fun! The have their studio adjacent to their home up newberry hill by us, and they have the land around the studio beautifully landscaped for pictures out doors.

I couldn't take any pictures while they were taking pictures- bummer- so you just have to wait to see what ones we picked when we get them back to choose. We're going back Tuesday morning to see all the proofs, and grandma Cindy is coming too, so she can pick out her favorite. It's really going to be hard to choose mom!

Here's Jade on the way home. I think she's a little wore out. They took about 100 pictures. I can't tell you how beautiful she was in the pictures, but I will try... She was beautiful!!!! You can see all her outfit changes in the back seat.

It was great day. I had been waiting along time for this day, and it was everything I hoped it would be! God is good!

Jade is so sweet, she wanted to say a prayer in between clothing changes to just be thankful to God for all our blessings. It turns out the Nelsen's are Christians, too. So it was really nice talking to Michelle about homeschooling, our church, and how good God is- that was just icing on the cake!
