Another 3 day weekend!

I asked my boss for the night off tonight cause we had lots of things to do! While the kids were at their classes, I met up with Jeromy at his work site and brought him lunch... he loves my tuna fish sandwiches! See I couldn't go to work, I had to bring my wonderful husband lunch! Here's one of the houses the guy who hired Jeromy to help remodel. Looks like alot of work to me!Kent didn't want to dress up this Halloween, but Jade did. She wanted to be a bumble bee, but they were sold out of that costume. So she decided on a hippy girl. I think this costume is great. It came with the dress and bandanna. But it was kinda short, so we modified it. I brought it to work last night and split the dress up the side to make it look more like a shirt, and then she picked out an old pair of jeans, and I made several patches and sewed them on, and split the pants up the side to make them look more like bell bottoms. Doesn't she look adorable??

This is my favorite patch...I love my baby girl so much... check out those earrings... good thing they're clip-ons!And I LOVE these KIDS!!!And for your enjoyment... Jade and Kent show you some of their... um... dance moves....

Then Jeromy came home and we went out to red robin, I've been eating so good, that I thought I deserved some nachos, and I love red robin's nachos!! Here's Jade and Kent again....

Let's see what else... we went to get Jeromy's hair cut, and I FORGOT my camera! I'm sure you all would have loved to see Jeromy's cute face getting his hair cut, he seemed pretty happy that I forgot my camera tho... oh well :o)

Jade's friend Tim stopped by cause they had set up a time for him to help tutor her in her math. He's taking some pretty advanced math. So now Jade has a tutor tuesday mornings with off-campus, she goes to sylvan twice a week, and Tim is helping her out. And she said she is starting to enjoy math a little more. Hmmm... I wonder why....

Then it was time to bring Jade to the Halloween party at our old church that her friend Jacki invited her to. Didn't really want the kids out trick-o-treating cause it's unsafe, so I felt being in that church environment was alot better. On the way we stopped at auntie Mary's and we saw Kyle! After getting the "ok" from mom and grandma, Kyle came with us. Here's Jade, Kyle & Kenton....

So off we go again on the way to the church, and we thought we'd stop by grandma Shield's house. She said we were the only trick-o-treaters they had. I think McCain's got grandma's vote... and mine!So that's about it. Hope everyone is having a safe night. God bless!

Getting cold out there!!!

It is really starting to get cold out there!!! I think I even hear the rain right now. I love fall, and love when we have snow... but... I think I'm already starting to miss summer... yup I said it!

Anyway, I wanted to make Jeromy and the kids cupcakes today. I've been eating so good lately, that we haven't had that much junk food around, and Jeromy said he's been getting sweet tooth at night. I'm sure the kids jumped on that band wagon!! So all my favorite people want something sweet to eat? Here they go...

I was trying to frost them in fall colors... but I think they look more like Easter cupcakes... oh well, Kent taste-tested one and said they tasted great! To alleviate any temptation to over eat, I am bringing one of the trays into work tonight for the swing shift crew to enjoy.

And now I am going to be REALLY good and eat my apple....

Not much else happening today. Just the usual running around with the kids. Jade and Kent joined the newspaper group thru off campus last week. All the kids and one teacher meet once a week and work on the layout of the paper, write articles, write stories, and draw pictures. I can't wait till the first issue comes out. So the kids have that this afternoon, and the Jade goes to Sylvan tonight. So the "Family Taxi" runs into the evening, too. I am so thankful for Jeromy, cause I couldn't do this without him, and he does it with a smile. That makes it so nice.

Yup, I just have to THANK GOD for a fabulous family, couldn't do ANY of this with out HIM!!

Another day

We kept kinda busy today.

First I dropped Jade to her tutoring appt with off-campus this morning, and then she took her math test.
Then stopped at the post office.
Then picked Jade up, came home.
30 minutes later, we had to go back out to pick up Kent, then we went to the bank, got gas, dropped Jade off to school, then came home.
Made Kent his Pokemon macaroni and cheese he's been waiting a week to eat. Made some chicken helper for dinner for everyone tonight to heat up.
Now I have about 30 minutes of down time before I get on the treadmill
and do 2 miles... oh yes, it will happen!
This is why I love swing shift, I kinda feel like a stay at home mom during the day, I can be with the kids, take them to and from to their activities. But then after 3pm, the shipyard owns me. But then Jeromy takes over, and he's so great with the kids.
Jeromy is out working with a guy who has hired him to help remodel 4-5 homes he owns. That should keep him gainfully employed thru the winter WOO-HOO!!
And now I leave you with a funny Kenton face...

And a nice one...

Great weekend!

Jeromy caught me yesterday on the treadmill doing my 1.5 mile run. This next week I may go up to 2 miles, slowly increasing my distance... we got some runs to do Laura!!!! After you've been given the complete A-OK from your doctor of course!! We went to church this morning and it was great. We're really liking the church we go to now. And Beverly goes there, too! One time I'll get my parents to come and my sister Misty, too! I think you guys would enjoy it! The pastor is so positive and inspiring.

Jeromy looked so nice this morning, I had to take a picture....And one of Jeromy and I.... are you getting sick of the love pictures?? I thought not!Our realtor also goes to our church. (We didn't know that until we saw her that first Sunday 3 weeks ago.) And she had 2 tickets to "The Phantom of the Orchestra" playing today at 2pm, and she couldn't make it so she asked us if we could use the tickets! Kinda cool!It was pretty cool. Jeromy and I were going to go, but then Jade showed some interest in going, so Jeromy said Jade and I should go and spend some mother-daughter time together. He's so sweet! So Jade and I went. They had a little skit going on in between the songs so that was cute.

And to add to Jeromy's sweetness (and Kenton's too!) while us girls were out enjoying the show, the guys stayed home and cleaned house for our company tonight. Who's coming over do you say? Well, we invited Jade's friend Tim over for dinner tonight.... so there will be a brief intermission from now until after we eat. So brief you won't even notice it! It will be like I never left!!

*****BRIEF INTERMISSION*****

And now I'm back. We had a great dinner with Tim tonight. Tim seems like a really nice kid. He's very smart, wants to be an engineer like both his parents are. He's very polite and seems to have no problem talking, in fact he says he likes to talk to people. Like I said, he wants to be an (mechanical) engineer, and Jade is such a creative thinker that it's funny to hear them talk... so different, but they are so nice to each other when talking. Anyway, Tim says everyone has to grow their hair out sometime in high school, so don't be shocked by all that hair... I was at first, but he's such a nice kid, you can't really judge someone by their looks. So anyway, Tim has invited Jade over for dinner at his house next weekend, he cooks, too.

Also today, I took some awesome fall pictures outside in our yard....This next one looks like God dropped several colors of the rainbow on our trees in the backyard... BEAUTIFUL!!!Here's a close up of one of those trees, I can't stand how beautiful it is! GOOD NIGHT!!

Prayers for Auntie Sharon!!

We prayed for Auntie Sharon last night and today for a smooth operation and a quick recovery. Call me mom when you know anything!

We got alot done today. We went to the bank to try to open the kids a varsity checking acct. Cause I now have official ID's for them. So we got there, and they said we needed their ss#'s too AHHHH! But we just ran home and I jotted them down. And back we went again!! I don't know how many attempts we made trying to get these acct. but we finally got them. Jade went straight to school, but I got a picture of Kent holding all his acct info. Next week we'll order checks. SCARY but exciting, too, cause I know they're responsible kids.
Also, when we got home, Kent's computer book (Jeromy ordered for him) came in...

And then a picture of my favorite guys...While we were out earlier, we also stopped at the main library in bremerton cause Jade and Kent both have to write a compare and contrast paper on a book made into movie. Reading the book and watching the movie. Jade's doing the Scarlet Letter, and Kent is doing Of Mice and Men.

Not much else going on, just keeping auntie Sharon on our minds.

We love you auntie Sharon!!!

not much

Just dealing with some not fun stuff. But I've been reading that God doesn't give us more than we can handle. And I DO believe it, but sometimes I feel like saying "OK enough already".... but I guess God must think we're pretty strong... how's that for a possitive spin?? :o)

Anyway, I've also read that exercise is one of the best stress relievers... so.... I am proud to say I have been jogging on my treadmill about every other day for 1.5 miles for the past 2 weeks. Yay!!! If there's nothing I can do but pray and run, then that's all I can do.

Anyway, I hope every one's enjoying the day out there, forecast calls for sun tomorrow WOO-HOO!!!!

ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!!

We made it a year! And it has been a great year! ALOT of stresses thru out the year with outside forces, but Jeromy and I are solid as a rock, and I LOVE him so much. I'd tell you the sweet things he's done today, but I don't want you to quit reading this blog because of the dripping sweetness of it all! Anyway, I am SOO happy!

Here we are one whole year ago... And then today...We dressed in my favorite color (and our wedding colors) PURPLE! We got all dressed up to go out to dinner. We went to the OUTBACK!! (I took the night off from work!)

Then after we ate, we took a stroll down to the waterfront... where Jeromy proposed... isn't that sweet???I found this funny comic in the paper, too...**I also updated our pictures on the side of the blog to your right, using Jade's Homecoming background! Even Dynomite our turtle got her close-up!!**

We also had Aurora this past weekend. She is such a sweetie! We got her some new "Hannah Montana" clothes at the mall, she was pretty happy. Again we used Jade's Homecoming background for Aurora's pictures...This is ONE HAPPY DADDY when his daughter is around...Here he is having Aurora makes some pretty serious promises... :O)

Jeromy and Aurora wanted to do an art project... so what they picked involved finding some fall leaves outside...

Then they brought the leaves inside and used them to trace their patterns onto the paper...Here's Aurora's picture... LOOK AT THAT DIPPLE!!!And Jade's picture (Jeromy and I also drew!!)And the one final picture of all 3 of our awesome kids! How can I not feel blessed!!!

***Still need a Kelsey fix though :o)

Homecoming 2008....

.... JADE'S WAY!!!

I am so proud of my baby girl. She didn't really want to go to the dance at school cause there's alot of negative stuff going on there, but her and her friends still wanted to have fun!

So they went dress shopping last weekend, and this weekend they celebrated Homecoming their own way!

First, Jade's 2 friends Katie & Brianna came over and started getting ready. And then we had a fashion photo shoot!! We hung a huge sheet in the living room and started taking pictures!! I took several individuals of each girl, here are Jade's....Can anyone say GORGEOUS?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Then several of all 3 girls, it was so much fun having them pose, hearing them laugh and have a good time...

Here's the girls on the way out to dinner, which they ate at The Red Robin.... so did we, but we sat at the other end of the restaurant so they'd feel grown up!After dinner we had some time to kill, so I dropped the girls off at the mall so they could walk around looking Gorgeous! And while there, Jade ran into Kate, the girl that lived with us for a while! And then, onto bowling.... here's the famous formal dress look while wearing the attractive bowling shoe....Some chocolate peanut-butter pie please???Then after all that fun, we stopped at Walgreens to develop all these fab pictures in triplicate for the girls to have their own copy. We dropped Katie off at home cause she was under the weather a bit. And Brianna is spending the night with us tonight.

What a fun night. The girls had a great time! I am so glad that I could be there for every step of it and Jade was OK with that! So blessed with such a wonderful beautiful sweet baby girl!!
